Kitty Caption LXXVII – So Much Material, So Little Time – (Humor/Meow Alerts)

The candidates (oops, wrong word sources of material) for Kitty Caption keep purring (oops, wrong word again pouring) in. Between the picture e-mailed and those found on recent threads, plenty of material to elect (dang word processor choose) from. No complaining from me, it makes producing this thread easier.
No specific theme, just more random pictures from a still growing list. Enjoy.

Kitty Humor is weekly thread (usually on Monday) on FR in the General Interest section. Among all the serious news, a little humor with our feline friends. Helps us get the week to a nice start. If you want on/off the kitty humor list (145 members) or you have a picture/animation you want featured, please send me freep-mail.

I love these threads!
We have a cat who disappeared the second week of October. We assume she got out through a broken third floor window.
Last weekend we "found" her in a closed closet on the third floor. She was MIA for 5 weeks, and when she was "found" her coat was still glossy, she wasn't especially hungry, wasn't dehydrated and her eyes were bright.
The best we can tell, there is some cat egress and ingress from the roof to the closet (we've looked and can't find it) and she lived on the roof. But how does a declawed cat catch birds?

Bad day for a cat ping. I had to put Egbert out of her misery this moning. She was about 5 years old. My son was gathering eggs for his Grandfather when a tiny black and white kitten came out of the laying house on the egg belt. (She looked exactly like the giant cat that the girl is riding above.) He brought her home and she was hand raised on a bottle.
She was missing for a few days and came dragging herself home with severe internal injuries. I guess a dog or cayote mauled her.
Sorry to drag anyone else down but I'm bummed.........

You should be. Having a pet put down is so sad. We lost two Maine Coons within 6 months of each other two years ago and I still get teary when I think of them.

But how does a declawed cat catch birds? The best mouser I ever had was Tinkerbell... and she was declawed. I don't know how she managed it, but she'd bring me all kinds of critters.

I know the feeling, it's tough.
I had to take my husband's old cat to be put down about 2 years ago (he was 16), and just last week I had to put down my 14 yr old collie.
But, since then we made a home for a 9 yr old cat whose owner is in chemotherapy and can't have pets (and you know most folks don't want an older animal), and I brought home a puppy from the humane society when I took my dog in.
