I recently read a great book called Amongst The Marines by Steven Preece. I bought a few from the Amazon.com website but this is the one that stood out. Its a perfect example of bullying amongst the military ranks and what this type of behaviour turns people into.

You're right, people in the military engage in a lot of bulling. Kind of like fishermen do!

Instead of "I once had a trout that was bigger than my arm!", it's more along the lines of "you think your drill instructor was bad????"

Oh, I agree. The military shouldn't be made up of people capable of bullying.

I'd MUCH prefer a military made up of sensitive males (and females of course) who are just nice people. In fact, they shouldn't even have guns, and certainly not the best guns--that's SO unfair, isn't it?

Please, hit the autopilot so your spaceship can return to Earth. You're going to find the same mix of people in the military as in real life, except these "bullies" are the ones defending your right to bitch about them.

1) Why would you say Army if the book is about the Marines?

2) What is Bulling? I've ridden bulls, roped bulls, cut bulls and know BS but I'm not sure about bulling.

3) If anything basic training today is for wimps. Our DI's would knock the hell out of you, chew on your butt, and have you run and do push ups until you dropped. They saved a lot of lives.

Good Lord this book is about Royal Marine's. They are cream of the crop when the military comes to mind.

Their boot camp is something like 6 months long.
