And now the Dinklemeyer:

As far as the Dinklemeyer cartoon universe goes, this is the official turning point. The strip right here makes the transition from being a poignant look at a lonely boy (there is still more of that in the future though) to a goofy, funny cartoon. This also continues the “Pig Acceptance Story” in which the talking pig is pressing for acceptance in the Dinklemeyer household. How this ties in with that, we’ll see next time. And it is too funny.

As I often mention, if you want to see ALL of the cartoons I've drawn, they're down at the bottom of my home page.

Thx...already been there months ago. Keep up the great work!

Well, with the Weekend Singles thread posted shortly thereafter, there's just too much of an interference going on.

Feeling any better? DollyCali made a great post (number 2,350) about all the bad stuff that happened. It's worth reading.

Hi P. Sorry - been on the phone for the last hour... I got a job offer!!!!!!!!! But this one came as a TOTAL surprise. I had a phone interview just now and the lady made an offer right over the phone which I was not expecting at all.

What was really weird was I had a 2nd job interview tonight with a software company, and as soon as I walked in the door the phone rang (a different company was calling). We talked for 45 minutes and she said she wants me to start Thursday. It's a 6 -12 month contract job, the other job, the software company, is a temp-to-hire...and they still have not made an offer...yet. There is a possibility that I may get an offer from the software company tomorrow and may have to choose between them and the other company.

Everybody just loves Barb, don't they?

Sounds like things are going good. Maybe soon they'll start turning upwards for me, too.

Any idea which one will make the better offer?

Today they seem to like me...but not sure about tomorrow.

I could be dead wrong about the software company. They may not offer me anything at all. I could be smokin' crack and having delusions of grandeur.

Last time I felt "good" about an interview, I found out through some connections that the people who interviewed me thought I was horrible...but they were polite to my face. I had no idea they thought so poorly of me until I was informed on the side by my inside connection.

That was in December. Anyway, turns out my 'informant' was dissatisfied with the company anyway and left them three months later. I also found out that the group I interviewed with was very cliquey (sp?) and snotty and it became a good thing that I did not end up working there.
