I thought the same thing -
a grown up version of Jon Benet!
""I was drugged and things were done to me without me having any idea," said Ray, who is now married with a 4-month-old child. "
Seems to be a common theme with this creep.
Still, I don't believe he killed JBR. I'd bet he killed other little girls ... but not this one. I believe he is so obsessed with her that in his twisted mind, wants to be the envy of all pedophiles in taking credit for molesting her and killing her.

TC, put me on the names ping list please?
Also, congrats on Vlad's teeth. Gracie is a week past seven months old...no teef yet, though she's trying. She's starting to crawl (OK, she gathers her knees under her and lunges forward into a faceplant, but it's a start) and is strong enough to almost bear all her weight on her legs, with help on balancing. Meep. Mobility is scary.

Gotcha on the list!
This is very early teeth and crawling for us. James was still toothless and slytherin at 14 months!
You really learn how dirty your floors are, when you've got a baby creeping!

"She looks like a grown up version of Jon Benet Ramsey or what Jon Benet may have looked like if her life hadn't been taken by a vicious child killer" She really does look like her, so much so that it's creepy.

"how come they couldn't get a restraining order on Karr or something to keep the ceremony from taking place?" A better question is, why did they agree to it. She was 13! Even in Alabama 22 years ago, she couldn't have married at 13 without her parents' consent.

That's what I can't figure out. If I wanted to do something at 13 and my parents didn't want me to do, my parents got their way every time.

"Whatever happened to 'innocence'!" Innocence, along with genuine romance, is apparently too much of a reminder of the depth of decadence to which we've sunk as a culture and therefore must be destroyed as soon as it is discovered. Too many people don't like what they see in that mirror.

I wonder what Karr's mother looked like? If she had blonde hair and blue eyes, I'd say Karr has HUGE issues- beyond those he has made obvious.

Harris told the AP on Wednesday that John Karr's birth mother was institutionalized after she threatened to harm John and another brother, Michael, when they were ages 4 and 9, respectively.
Harris said that according to Michael Karr, the mother one day brought the boys into a room when they were living in Atlanta and "in a ceremonial setting she said she might do them harm, might get the devils out of them."
Harris said that he was not sure what the mother meant, but that Michael Karr took his brother to a neighbor's home, and the two were later raised by their grandparents in Alabama.
John Karr's mother was institutionalized, Harris said. She has since died.
