"Think you don't make a difference?"
Those are the words that our very own FReeper/trucker papasmurf started out on a thread for one of his friends, almost a year ago. The subject of the thread, a young man named Dylan and his mother Smile, had successfully battled cancer.
Papasmurf emailed me to let us know that Dylan is having some new problems, and has gone to the hospital several times while doctors work to discover the source of his problems.
Here is Dylan during his fight with cancer and again after being diagnosed healthy:

Free Republic enoys about 160 active folders working together with Stanford University to advance basic medical research through the distributed program Folding@Home.
One of our folders cares so much about his friends that he asks us to be in prayer that doctors would find the cause of recent abdominal problems in Dylan. That is a very good friend indeed.
Please join us in prayer that Dylan would quickly discover the source of the illness and that his complete recover can begin, and that Dylan's mother Smile would be strong through this ordeal.

I will pass on your kind thoughts and prayers. Thank you!

Prayers Up for Dylan!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)

Young Dylan is in my prayers this evening.
To: texas booster; dfwddr; All
Thank you all, so much, for your heartfelt kindness and your Prayers.
Unfortunately, I have no news to report. In my last conversation with Smile, she was leaving to go back to UK Children's Hospital with Dylan. She's not called, or posted on our trucking board since. I "pinged" her, with no results. I have also emailed her a link to this thread.
Since us smaller carriers are having our worst year, and she is key to running the business, I can only imagine how full her hands are, and how terribly stressed she must be.
I'll keep Praying for Dylan, and Smile, and with God's hand upon them, I hope to have positive news to report soon.
A huge Thank YOU! goes to Texas Booster for his concern, efforts and, Prayers. Thanks, TB!
