WASHINGTON (AP) -- Amid a discussion of trade in 1973, Chinese leader Mao Zedong made what U.S. Secretary of State Henry Kissinger called a novel proposition: sending tens of thousands, even 10 million, Chinese women to the United States.

"You know, China is a very poor country," Mao said, according to a document released by the State Department's historian office.

"We don't have much. What we have in excess is women. So if you want them we can give a few of those to you, some tens of thousands."

A few minutes later, Mao circled back to the offer. "Do you want our Chinese women?" he asked. "We can give you 10 million."

After Kissinger noted Mao was "improving his offer," the chairman said, "We have too many women. ... They give birth to children and our children are too many."

"It is such a novel proposition," Kissinger replied in his discussion with Mao in Beijing. "We will have to study it

Geez, I wonder if the women would have had any say in the matter? I wonder what the answer would be in Barack was President back then?

So THIS is why Bubba always sucked up to the Chi-coms. He was hoping for another offer like this.

Well... Uneducated, poor women with no family, no english and no jobs getting put ashore. I think that there are pimps that go to sleep at night dreaming about that.

On the other hand I have always had a soft spot for Chinese women so I would volunteer to Americanize a couple of them, just to make sure they didn't end up on the wrong side of the tracks or anything....

Just as thousands of cables poured in from Washington urging Kissinger to accept the offer, Deng Xiaoping, Premier Zhou's (Zhou Enlai) personal selection for his (Zhou) successor, whispered into Mao's ear.

"Wot?" asked Mao.

"I said tell the American dummies to send us tens of thousands of their manufacturing businesses -- get it? Lenin's New Economic Plan.. you know, we'll get the rope to hang these capitalist dogs from them! What a deal - - and we won't have to pay for the rope. It will be made here and we'll just take it when we want to. 'Useful idiots,' Lenin sure had that right."

Eh, Jabob (aka Israel, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham) had two wives, and had sons with them and their two maidservants... 12 sons (12 tribes). If God was cool with it then, don’t see why He’d mind now ;)-

Oh, Puh-Leeze! Most industry in China is in private hands. They have a market economy, albeit not entirely free.

The Chinese are smarter than the Russians (in more ways than one), who had a completely state run economy.
