I don't doubt it one bit.
Condi is good but she doesn’t want it.
Push someone who would and has a handle on economics -
Mitt, the “Mormon” is fine with me. He’d be good for the economy. McCain is a moroon.
I’ll check back!!!!!!!!
She’s admitted she’s pro abortion (”mildly pro choice” was her misleading phrasing), which disqualifies her as a Republican candidate for any office.
Even if that were off the table (it’s not), she has a near zero Likability Factor. And she apparently tends to fall into victim mode for being black. Not attractive in a leader, regardless of party affiliation.
So, no thanks.
Condi was a disaster as National Security Advisor. She was and is a disaster as Secretary of State. And she would be a disaster as Vice President. Her foreign policy moves, particularly with regard to Israel, have been a complete joke. She’s been no better than Halfbright.
I have never heard her claim explicitly or implicitly any victim mentality. She is far too smart and too accomplished (and too conservative) for that.
I like Condi. I think she would make a great president, oops, I mean vice president.
It was posted on a thread here within the past few days.
I second your motion for the same reason.
Thanks for the link. Interesting article. I still don’t see where she claims any “victim” mentality. To the contrary, I like her even more after the read. I for one was all for boycotting the Olympics, but here opinion swayed mine in a very common sense way. That’s the kind of person she is. Succinct and honest. Yes, I agree with her that blacks have had a less than ideal legacy in this country, but I don’t here her defending victim status. To the contrary I see here as someone who was proud to be part of something (the No Child Left Behind program) that could help fix it. I still like Condi and think she would be fine VP.
I’m not surprised you can’t see it. You’re a Rice loyalist.
Meantime, I found the article about Rice I was looking for when I found the other one:

Condi is a very intelligent and accomplished person, you are entirely correct. However, I too have reservations about her performance as Sec. of State, She is also a reserved intellectual in temperament, and they generally despise campaigning, are also uncomfortable in crowds, and it shows. Nixon was a also brilliant, reserved intellectual, and had great difficulty connecting with the publc in the political arena. The press is extremely hard on people with that temperament in politics. Condi just does not have the personality for running for office, and she knows it.
Agreed. Romney would also balance the ticket by providing some credibility on immigration and economic policy. He also would help McCain win Michigan.
Rice was apparently a successful Soviet expert. But, we really don’t need Soviet expertise at this time. And the things we do need, she does not appear to provide.
Then any dumb shit can be Secretary of State?
I think she would be great.
John
Maybe even you.
John
Oh, if you studied real hard and cheated maybe you too!
Tom
PS: You didn’t seem to understand my response to the post so perhaps not. Maybe you’ll get some parting gifts.
she adds no votes to the ticket... not many, anyway... i believe her time has passed...
I understood you loud and clear.
John
