you could also throw in a pet rock.
never worry about methane gas emissions.
you don't have to waste precious resources feeding it.
never waste petroleum products (plastic bags) cleaning up after it.
you reduce consumption of gaia's blood (water).
and, if you are a liberal, you can enjoy untold hours talking to it.
