I am a compassionate guy. Really. It is just that I vainly called these students names week-after-week wondering where they were. I never received a phone call; not even a note. I have no way to verify whether or not their stories of disease, famine, tragedy, etc, are really true or not...

So this is why I can't understand a word that is said by the mainland Chinese born people I work with!
Not one of these guys has a better alibi than me....I faked cancer to get re-enrolled at UMass Lowell.
When I flunked out of 2 consecutive semesters, I was removed from the school. So I went in my medical file and pulled my x rays from 2 years ago. I had a pen in my mouth and got sucked punched by a kid that turned out to be my best friend (R.I.P.). It went down my gum and tore out alot of flesh. So I had an x ray of my mouth with a giant white stripe down one gum. I showed that to the dean amidst a flood of tears and “I have had to face challenges other students won’t ever face!” Told them I had chewed tobbacco since I was 12 and my dream in life was to finish college. As my Irish family would say “In like Flynn”. Reinstated immediately. I left school for good to go be a used car salesman at the end of that disasterous, drunken semester.
Ah, college. Best 7 years of my life.
LOL. I was only “three credit hours short” for 3 years.
I was in it for 12. although I got a BS, an MS, and a PhD outof the deal.
It was a joke from the movie Animal House.
BTW, why did it take you so long? I got all of those degrees in 9 years.
That was great.
American students are just as bad.
