The other day the guys from BaconToday.com contacted me in search for some barbecue bacon recipes. Of course I have plenty of great uses for bacon in a barbecue pit, but the longer I thought about it, the more I wanted to step it up a notch and clog a few arteries for those guys. Behold, BACON EXPLOSION!!! Heres what youll need
2 pounds thick cut bacon
2 pounds Italian sausage
1 jar of your favorite barbeque sauce
1 jar of your favorite barbeque rub

I have some good venison back strap here if you would like some.
I hate to hold this stuff in the freeze for long. It was taken at Thanksgiving in Tenn.
Mighty good with peppercorn sauce and wild rice

there isnt anything bad made with Angus beef. We took our two youngest out for lunch today. They're leaving in the morning to head back to college. We went to 'Not Your Average Joe's' restaurant, and they had a meat loaf dinner, made with Angus Beef. Our #1 son bought me a grinder attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer, so I'm going to get some Angus beef, and make my own meatloaf. MMM.

If I'm remembering the story correctly, you really hated that goat! Funny story. There is no love lost between The Mom and that goat. It's hilarious to witness their "synergy."

Sorry we highjacked your thread.
I see that mylife added you to the shoot ping list. I hope you can make it, they really are a lot of fun.
Regarding the recipe you posted, I think the best thing to go with this is a deliberator. ;-)

I use either angus beef or ground turkey for my meatloaves. Simplest recipe for turkey meatloaf which is really reall tasty and makes great sandwiches is two pounds ground turkey, one package of turkey dressing, one chopped green pepper, one chopped sweet onion, one cup of Eggbeaters; mix the ingredients well and bake for one hour at 35o degrees with tinfoil over the loaf to prevent the skin from becoming too dry. I cook it in a bread loaf pan and pile it high so slices fit the Sarah Lee Honey wheat bread (toasted) that I like, with lettuce and tomato, mayo and ketchup, of course.
BTW, the angus meatloaf should have onion and mushrooms and Dale's steak sauce mixed in, with dried and ground pumpernickle bread crumbs and one cup of Eggbeaters. Top the uncooked loaf with one small can of tomato paste spread over the loaf.
