Clear cut case of Conflict of Interest

Posted on 03/20/2009 10:55:59 PM PDT by djf

Recently, there has been legislation introduced in the House.

HR 875, introduced by Rosa De Lauro, D-Conn, would require every person in the United States who grows food OF ANY KIND to register with the government and follow any and all needful regulations they dream up.

So guess who the beaches husband works for.

Is it Chuckee Cheese? Greyhound? Kodak?

Hell, no, her husband works for Monsanto, one of the leading groups pushing towards genetically modded seeds (and the lucrative patents that go with it).

Come on folks. Haven't you had enuff yet? This is way, way, way beyond tyrannical.

De Lauro is not only the ugliest woman on the planet, she is also the dumbest.

This is the kind of thing, you know, like if it was the 1500’s or so, people would be loading the pitchforks on the wagon and heading for town!

Jeesh! Seize your land if you grow an onion!

Is it time to start shooting yet?

Can you really believe that if this stuff passes then YOUR stuff would be exempt?

What kind of world do you live in where government power gets less and less as time goes on and not more and more?

Just ribbin ya, kind of. It would apply to any damn thing they want it to apply to.
You know that.

Under the current administration, this sort of blatant corruption will become more and more prevalent and blatant. In the socialist Utopia, all comrades are equal, but some comrades are a LOT MORE equal.

Back yard gardens:
I am reading this and it seems to me that ‘commerce’ wouldn’t include a back yard garden. Am I reading this right?
http://www.opencongress.org/bill/111-h875/text#
SEC. 206. FOOD PRODUCTION FACILITIES.
(b) Inspection of Records-
(2) to track the food in commerce.

IIRC isn’t this the same person who “rented” the basement of her home in Washington D.C. to Rahm Emanuel, Obama’s Chief of Staff.

The problem is that Emanuel never really paid any rent nor did he report this largesse on his income taxes as he is required to do by law.

I thought her husband was a pollster?

DeLauro is married to Stanley Greenberg, President of Greenberg-Quinlan Research, Inc., a public issues research and polling firm. Their children – Anna, Kathryn and Jonathan Greenberg – are all grown and pursuing careers. They have three grandchildren, Rigby, Sadie and Teo.

Here's her "husband".

Can't imagine what the kids look like.

I know.

My comment was really meant to poke fun of the ludicrous extreme that the left will take things to.
