Another “Ministry of Truth Moment”.

I just watched one of his videos attached to a tea party site. He’s inspiring. Why do you say O wants to shut Mr. Basso down?

I missed listening to Jerry Doyle’s show yesterday; I was told Obama asked Jerry Doyle for a private meeting—anyone know about this?

His call to return the election of the president back to the people, instead of the electoral college, is strange, since the people never had that power.
To: Ted Grant
Yeah I noticed that as well. I though some of it was good, but some of it was downright wrong.
The electoral college serves a very vital purpose in forcing candidates to pay attention to smaller states. It also ameliorates to some extent the influence of "one man, one vote," a democratic principle, not a republican principle; as we live in a republic not a democracy, I am grateful that our Founding Fathers recognized these needs.

Ya, I'm not hip to that idea. The Founding Fathers set up a Republic, which I happen to agree with wholeheartedly.

His call to return the election of the president back to the people, instead of the electoral college And this is exactly why Obama wants to speak to him. An ex-NBC communications director with a hit YouTube video calling for a popular election vice the electoral college. This man would be a priceless asset to Obama's 2012 campaign.

With everything going on in America today, it is troubling that the Obamoron is such a micro-manager that he has time to worry about an individual citizen expressing his 1st Amendment rights.
Were it me, I’d tell the Obamoron to stick his displeasure where the sun don’t shine!

The call for two year conscription into national service also intrigues Zero.

His call to return the election of the president back to the people, instead of the electoral college, is strange, since the people never had that power.I was thinking exactly as you when I heard it. That proposal, plus the one to have some kind of mandatory national service, have no historical foundation in the founding period. Remember that the Revolution was won with an all-volunteer military.
But those are about the only two items on Basso's agenda that I'd probably oppose.
