Almost as stupid as Lewis and Clark searching for the pacific. Animals did not have the fear of man before the flood. I think there is an answer to your doubts. Why did you buy an Ark kit for your kids if it was STUPID?

I'm more inclined to think that the story of an Ark on Mt. Ararat is like ther Statute of Liberty in NY Harbour....something you just gotta see if you get there.

Like the Turin thing....no "proof" can ever be found....only construed...which makes some things an ongoing mystery.........forever...

I don't NEED for the Ark to be found to believe the Bible account.

Of course not.

But you have read and understand the story in the Bible, and what God's message to man was.

Many people have a very shallow knowledge of the Bible, and their focus is on the objects, and not the ideas.

For instance (I believe someone already mentioned this), a poll of Americans would probably show that most believe Noah took in 2 of each animal, of every kind.

>> Why do we ..... ignore the point of the story?

Some people get the point, others don’t. Most are drowned in a sea of hatred right now. There’s no saving them. Those of us who adhere to the Messiah’s two commandments are sheltered safely in his ark sailing for his safe harbor. The rest are bobbing aimlessly in a kind of limbo.

Misreading the headline I had a flash of a Virginia man setting off in the new Mitsubishi electric mini-car to search for Noah’s Ark.

Actually, Islam regards Noah as one of the highest prophets (along with Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammed). I would wager Noah is placed higher in Islam than with Jews or Christians. Obviously we wouldn't place Noah on the same plane as Jesus. And there were many more Old Testament prophets that Jews and Christians revere. Islam basically includes the Pentateuch in their canon and nothing after, except for Jesus.

The Noah's Ark story in Islam is the exact same story as in our Old Testament.

With modern power tools it took over 300 man-years of labor to build each of the Ark 'replicas'.
