Weird ingredients in hair products

When it comes to beauty products, sometimes ignorance is bliss. Snake venom, bird droppings, snail serum, cow dung and whale vomit are but a few of the industry's extreme and off-putting ingredients that one might be shocked to know can be slathered about your body.

Hair products are no exception to this somewhat creepy phenomenon. Consumers hoping for a hair miracle are willing to pay extra for deep conditioners and conditioning "treatments" that promise an enviable crowning glory -- even when they contain rather odd-seeming ingredients such as placenta, caviar and hemp. Pushing the limits, Hari's, a well-known "celebrity" salon in London that claims clients including the Rolling Stones and Margaret Trudeau, had the beauty world abuzz earlier this year with owner Hari Salem's Aberdeen Organic bull sperm treatment. The promise was that the protein in the treatment (called "Viagra for Hair" on Hari's website) would repair, restore and brighten hair.

Tar soap (son has extreme adult head acne) Head and Shoulders and that hippie soap (dang I can never think of its real name) Brommells?

Works for us.
I also collect hotel soap.

I get a creme rinse with the hair color I use but it is gross, leaves your hair feeling dirty.

I even tried giving away all the tubes I had and the gals KNEW of it and had the same opine as I did, toss it in the trash was there response.

Stuff is so bad I dont think it would be kind to give to Salvation Army.

I wondered who this "client" was and found the following on Wikipedia ,which explains all;

Dr. Bronners Soap ...If you ever get the time to read about it, this is one heck of an interesting, and slightly weird, story. They have been making the stuff doe 60+ years.

The only hair products I use are Gilette or Schick—and sometimes Norelco.

I actually tried it after seeing a Documentary based on the Son who is a bit eccentric like his blind father who created the soap.

Was made with the ideas that the hippies would actually take a shower once in awhile.

Yes very interesting.
Esp. sense his Dad was put in a mental institute here in America but later escaped to his freedom.

And I believe it is like 2000 words on the label.

One place the son travels too selling the product is a home a woman provides shelter/food love to a bunch of Dev. Disabled kids and he gives her free supplies plus he used profits to supplement her efforts, which helped build a play ground on her property.

I like the fact that he reaches out to all types of people regardless of their shortcomings or differences.

He IMO did get his dads eccentric kinda almost manic personality. Nothing wrong IMO with that makes him unsheepish.
