Daily Kos People vs. Democrat Underground People. What's the difference?

I was curious if anyone here knows how Daily Kos people differ Dirty Underground people?

It seems like DU people are made fun of more here. Are they funnier? Does anyone know if one group is more elitist, more intelligent, or more vile than the other?

I asked this same question some time ago and was told that the folks at HuffPo and Kos have jobs, while those at the DUmp live in their parents' basements.

Makes sense to me.

The difference is simple. The DU people are idiots. They say stupid things and believe some of the most twisted illogical stuff. It is easy to make fun of them.

The KOS people are well funded dangerous fanatics. A group of fanatical communists bent on destroying you and everything you believe in isn't something funny.

They’re pretty much the same people. DU isn’t as well moderated, so its a bit more of a cesspool — but my guess is that every member of DU has a Kos account, and vice versa.

DailyKOS authors are paid for by George Soros’ foundation, although it’s supposedly “grassroots.” DemocraticUnderground is a more authentic (*cough, cough*) representation of the hard-left inverse of Freepers. As a result, DailyKOS tends to be slightly more PC, at least given the absurd state of what passes for PC in the left, given that Keith Olbermann is their national spokesperson.

As a result, DU will be more likely to openly express thoughts such as “F*** AMERIKKKA! I HATE CAPITALISM!!! REPUGS JUST WANT EVERYONE TO DIE!!!” whereas DailyKOS will be more “fair”, such as writing instead, “This demonstrates the stupidity of allowing greed to be the main motivation in running our economy: Big Pharma is better off if the sick die quicker, and the Republicans can get rid of Democratic-leaning voters.”

true. but even with those there are differences. Dog poop tends to be larger and darker in color for example.

After several years of reading various posts at DU I have come to the belief the active members (maybe 3,000) are either teachers, college students, unemployed, underemployed, on disability, or trying to get disability.

I am not making this up; time and again you read threads of people walking out on jobs, thinking about getting a job, complaining about failing a disability test, mentioning something about the students in their class(es). Those in college usually trie to hide the fact they are college students for some reason. I think it is because they perceive they would be considered more “wordly” if they were old enough to be out of college.

Those over at Daily Kos are the more educated and seem to have employment, but it appears to be mostly government or education.

I should also add that it appears a much larger percentage of DU members have financial problems as compared to DK people.

Many times I read them talking about either having filed bankrupcty or thinking about filing bankruptcy, being under water on credit cards, etc.

It could be that is the more common string that ties them all together at DU; money problems.
