These are intense times. We are assaulted with bad news constantly. So, as a service to my fellow Freepers, I thought that maybe I could present a current story in a more tolerable manner. What if the news came from a wordprocessor that has a bug that automaticaly replaces all of the "e"s in a document with the letter "o". Read the following exactly as it is typed and see if this helps.

When my eldest son was born, or actually, several weeks before, I sent out a test email to the list of friends and family who I wanted to have notified quickly after the birth. Thinking that I just couldn’t send out a stupid “test” email, I actually patterned it after the text of the old Emergency Broadcast Service tests they used to do on TV. (”This is a test. This is only a test. Had this been a real birth announcement...”, etc.).
Skip ahead a couple of years to when the twins are getting close to due date. Trying the same basic idea, but with a twist, I sent out a message along the lines of “This This is is only only a a test. test.” which went on for a couple of paragraphs. In retrospect, I should have written software to do that, but I did it by hand, which was much harder than it sounds.
Reads a bit like Beowulf.
I hate it when they outsource the news reporting and headlines to a non-English speaking Third World hell hole.
It does, actually! LOL! Or “The Return of the Native” by Thomas Hardy! Blasted Welsh words!
“Sonato Majority Loador Harry Roid”
