'Mars,' 'Venus' divide evident even in utero
The Washington Times ^ | April 30, 2010 | Jennifer Harper

Pronounced differences in male and female behaviors can be detected in the womb, according to Australian medical researchers, who say the sex of the baby determines responses. Those responses are specific and telling. "The male, when mum is stressed, pretends it's not happening and keeps growing, so he can be as big as he possibly can be," said Vicki Clifton, an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Adelaide who led the study.

I believe this. My first baby had intrauterine growth retardation and I was under incredible physical and psychological stress from the git go. She was a very tiny baby and to this day is intolerant of stress. The last baby, a big ole clunker, was born when I was as placid as a cow chewing my cud. I think they feel it.

I think they feel it.

Of course they feel it - they share a blood supply with you, the mother.

If you dump lots of adrenaline into YOUR blood supply, they get excited.

If you chew your cud, they are placid too.

It is interesting that the boys keep growing till the second stress, then they lose heart. While the girls just hunker down and slim down from the gitgo.

I wonder if that is why male widowers die so fast after their wives go. In the first year, they die like flies. Even the ones who were healthy and doing fine thru many things.

Not exactly. Babies have a separate blood system, very often even of a different blood type.

However, you are correct in that almost all chemicals, hormones, etc. easily cross the placenta.

Congratulations. You’ve proved Obama is a baby-killer.
In other news, the sun rises in the east. We know this because...

In other news, the sun rises in the east.

Due to the Earth's rotation about its axis, the Sun only "appears" to rise in the east. So it is more of a hard cold fact that Obama is a baby killer than that the Sun "rises in the east". I posted Obama's abortion views because the posted article deals with biological activity of unborns. It was meant as a reminder of how morally bankrupt the POS is.

Actually, I made a mistake. The exceptions are at the North Pole, where the sun rises in the south, and the South Pole, where the sun rises in the north. Obama makes no such exceptions.

Saying the Sun (truly) rises in the East is like saying a parked car ran into you. :)

Re: “Saying the Sun (truly) rises in the East is like saying a parked car ran into you.”

That is, as opposed to the TRUTH, that you ran into the parked car.
