Good news for Elvis Presley's creepiest fans, as a set of tools from the singer's autopsy are to be auctioned next month... are among the items that will come under the hammer at what is perhaps the grisliest sale in rock'n'roll history.
According to a spokeswoman for Leslie Hindman Auctioneers, a senior embalmer at the Memphis Funeral Home set the tools aside after Presley's 1977 funeral, waiting decades before deciding to sell to the highest bidder. "The mortician, who prepared the body, retained this tag and the instruments, along with the preparation room case report, the case sheet, dry cleaning tags, the hanger to the singer's suit and tie, and the coffin shipping invoice, which are marked 'Elvis Presley,'" Mary Williams told Reuters.
...All, the auction house insists, were used only once on the corpse of the King of rock'n'roll.
...The items will be sold in two lots, which are expected to bring in a combined total of $10,000 to $14,000. Presley memorabilia is in high demand, with a lock of his hair selling for $18,300 (£12,041) last year. "It's really about owning a piece of the celebrity themselves," Williams said, "and how much closer can you get than the actual embalming instruments?" Please, no closer.

will the 40 pounds of impacted fecal matter be sold in in one lot, or will they auction it off by the pound?
“will the 40 pounds of impacted fecal matter be sold in in one lot”
...strange but true. If sold by the pound, I’m sure a lot of money could be made.
Is that Liberace playing mortician???
Oh good. Will this sale include the saw that was used to cut open his scull cap and ribcage? How about the container that his sliced brain was placed in.
What a bunch of sick fing freaks.
I’m a fan of Elvis and I am am disgusted with this morbid garbage.
me too but shows you how low people have sunk in this country all for the love of $$$$$$$$$$$$$44
Yes. The Loved One is a strange comedy.
"Thanks to this unusual fermenting process, a single cup of kopi luwak costs up to 20 euros in coffee shops and restaurants, while a one-pound bag (370 grams) can sell for as much as 200 euros"
