Bias against Israel in 'Foreign Affairs' [CFR]
Foreign Affairs ^ | July/August Issue | Council on Foreign Relations

I had an initial rough scan of this forwarded to me by a very respected elder Jewish friend and historian. He wrote:

"In the current issue of FOREIGN AFFAIRS, the foreign policy journal put out by the Council on Foreign Relations, this full page, color ad appeared on the inside back cover. Look at it carefully. See who is designated as "Resistance" and who is designated as bring "Stability" to the situation. In the upside down, topsy-turvy world of double-speak this is being promulgated via every library in the U.S. as well as in every University and college library.

NOTE: The "transportation link" which effectively bisects Israel into two parts, making it even more vulnerable.

No mention as to who this group is, or who funded this ad? It wasn’t cheap.

PASS THIS ALONG!"

Knowing how things on the Internet work, I wanted some evidence in hand, so dispatched one of the kids to the local Barnes&Noble for a hard copy, than started poking around on the Internet. I wrote my Jewish friend back:

I just did a quick back-grounder on this Paul Frum individual, who is noted at the bottom of the web site, www.goalsforamericans.org, which crafted this ad. A cursory view shows him quickly to be a far-left, globalist, "neo-con" conspiracy theorist, anti-Israel, Jew hater. And that's being restrained. The anti-Israel virulence on his web site is some of the worst I have seen in years.

He appears to be a retired—and affluent. He attempts to forward an impartial stance on issues by stating he supports "Republican and Democrat" candidates, yet online campaign donation sources reveal he has given extensively to Democrat causes and candidates alone.

That this was published in Foreign Affairs shows the UN/global "elite" to not even try to be impartial or objective anymore. This is blatant, biased, one-sided bigotry directed against the Nation of Israel in deference to the Arab/"Palestinian" narrative.

Yes, that ad had to be expensive to place.

Yes, any supporter of Israel would understand the significance of this blatant, obvious bias. Thus we need to continue to be vigilant. ... I will post this at Free Republic when I get a chance.

The kid returned with the copy of Foreign Affairs. Sure enough, the ad was inside the back cover. I didn't activate the link to the site that posted the ad in the magazine. We aren't going to give him the traffic from Free Republic. Go look yourself if you want. He has the ad and others posted there as well.

Reading through commentary by "academia" represented in the Foreign Affairs issue reveals yet again why academia it isn't. They are so far out of touch with reality blinded by their pomposity, egos and pipe dreams ("perhaps" and "if," and "maybes"), it is again no wonder the West is in the shape it is, while the realization of the Islamist bomb comes to fruition.

These are the people influencing the decision makers of our time.

Sane people need to keep praying.

What a disppointing trend, I really thought once that CFR is somehow objective.

Dear Salem,

Posting from the road, still on a junky laptop, but I did get this.

It is particularly heinous.

Thanks for the ping.
