A Glimps into S 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010

Senate Bill S510 Makes it illegal to Grow, Share, Trade or Sell Homegrown Food S 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act of 2010, may be the most dangerous bill in the history of the US.

It is similar to what India faced with imposition of the salt tax during British rule, only S 510 extends control over all food in the US, violating the fundamental human right to food. S 510 would give Monsanto unlimited power over all US seed, food supplements, food and farming.

S 510 fails on moral, social, economic, political, constitutional, and human survival grounds.

1. It puts all US food and all US farms under Homeland Security and the Department of Defense, in the event of contamination or an ill-defined emergency. It resembles the Kissinger Plan.
2. It would end US sovereignty over its own food supply by insisting on compliance with the WTO, thus threatening national security.
3. It imposes Codex Alimentarius on the US, a global system of control over food. It allows the United Nations (UN), World Health Organization (WHO), UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), and the WTO to take control of every food on earth and remove access to natural food supplements.
4. It would remove the right to clean, store and thus own seed in the US, putting control of seeds in the hands of Monsanto and other multinationals, threatening US security.
5. It deconstructs what is left of the American economy. It takes agriculture and food, which are the cornerstone of all economies, out of the hands of the citizenry, and puts them under the total control of multinational corporations influencing the UN, WHO, FAO and WTO, with HHS, and CDC, acting as agents, with Homeland Security as the enforcer.

We have a couple of dozen truck farmers come into Sparks and Reno each week and setup shop, half of whom are Hispanic. I cannot see a Bill putting Hispanics out of work. Just won’t happen for the next thirty years.

I saw that and it's amazing the number removed. The problem I see is that it will drive the cost of food up on top of already high and higher prices due to a number of other factors. It's going to hurt small and medium producers. That said, the biggest danger is the framework this puts in place and leaving much to the discretion of the regulators to determine policy. The framework is there to apply this and more to the family farm if the bureaucrats “deem” it should be applied for whatever reason they come up with.

I can't tell you how amazed I am of the accuracy of the writings of ancient prophets in relation to today's events and the recent past.

Passages in the Bible that didn't make any sense at all just a few months or years ago now "literally" describe our daily world and future events, that may be just around the corner, with perfect "next shoe to fall" believability.

I have seen reassuring analysis of this bill on various organic and progressive food blogs.

Many liberals are waking up to the fact that they've been fooled by Obama and this administration. Obama is not a friend of Americans IMO. He is an agent of powerful forces with their own agenda.

In the end, it will be bad for "we little people". I suggest that taking the paranoid view is far safer with this regime as Rush calls them... :)

enough with the implants, it is about breaking the 10 commandments; specifically, working on the Sabbaths.

God's law is written on our hands and in our forehead (our thoughts and actions), the opposite would be Satan's mark. Right?

Christians are to keep God's law in their heart. I have seen pictures of Jews tying a scroll with the scripture to their forehead. Where did you see a reference to your above quoted text?
