Facebook ‘Dislike’ Button Is a Scam

If only we could register our “dislike” of scams on Facebook.

A “Dislike” button is the latest in a string of cons circulating on the social-networking site. It purports to offer users a way to express their aversion to links, videos and other annoying content posted by friends on Facebook, as an alternative to giving a thumbs up with Facebook’s “Like” button. To get it, they supposedly have to fill out a survey – at which point they unwittingly agree to recurring cellphone charges......

Yep. There’s a lot of those $10/month phone scams on FB. I had to call my carrier to have 3 of them taken off last month that my wife unwittingly fell for. I have since forbid her from entering her phone # anywhere on FB.

Thanks for posting this, I posted it to my FB page. I have noticed MANY more scams and virus things on FB lately. I almost never click on anything, but many of my friends must click on everything that comes along.

90% of the stuff on FB is spam, or a scam.

I saw the other day a call for a “meh” button. Good thing you can’t wear out soft buttons, because that would definitely would be.
