CORPUS CHRISTI On Wednesday morning, the first Customs and Border Protection Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) "Predator" landed at Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, according to NAS Corpus Christi public information officer Bob Torres.
The Predator will help in the effort to control drug and illegal alien entry into the US along a 1,200-mile piece of the Texas-Mexico border between El Paso and Brownsville, according to the Department of

oh boy - we’ll capture them ... on film! But capturing them the other way would require soldiers at the border and that would send the wrong message.
Last time I looked, Corpus wasn’t anywhere near the border.
It’s about 1 1/2 hours drive from Brownsville, straight up Hwy 77
It’s about time.
The low estimate is 12 million illegals. More likely, there's close to 30 million of them. If we don't do something soon, it'll be 50 million.
Let the Army make large defense force sized patrols along with airborne eyes, thereby sending a loud message... A message that is long overdue.
The colonization of America by a foreign country proceeds quietly, pervasively, methodically and perversely. You think they only come here in the millions to find work? You are blind. They come to take back what they think is theirs. California is already theirs. We're just too stupid to know it.
They are not immigrants!!!
They are illegal invaders.
Illegals waving their Mexican flags in our face are just unarmed invaders counting on demographics to win in the next 20 years.
Immigrants move to a country to permanently take up residence. An Immigrant comes to America to become an AMERICAN, not to make tax-free cash under the table and send it back to his 'home' country.
They aren't here to assimilate or even learn the language. They are here for the money and if they can't find work then to hell with the USA. No loyalty, just want to use us.
The illegal aliens who get amnesty, having come from a socialist society, will vote for whoever promises the most welfare, government health care, food stamps, government housing, etc. Also factor in the chain migration that will follow, and you can kiss America goodbye.
We won't talk logically about the invasion, border control or national sovereignty. The people themselves are resentful of the fact that we Americans have been able to make something of true greatness in such a short period of time. While they have a much longer history, that includes dismal failure after humiliating dismal failure.
Do the Mexicans intend to reclaim the land they accuse the US of having stolen? To what end? To convert it back to squalor?
The right they are really advocating for is the unlimited movement of Mexicans into the US for the eventual purpose of dispossessing Americans of their rights and of their property.
If Congress grants amnesty to millions of invaders and they vote, we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years.
Hasta la vista, baby.
I won't provide the url but it can be googled
I’ve been counting the days ‘til one of these UAV issues me a speeding ticket while on the interstate.
We’ve got to pay for them somehow. /s
Does it CATCH illegal immigrants too?
Some States have used aircraft to catch speeders. The highways had airplanes painted on the road at 1 mile intervals so the speed of vehicles could be checked.
I went to college in a rural/wooded area where they used aircraft to catch speeders (long stretches of empty road.)
I was moving along at a decent clip along with a like-minded Mercedes one day. Noticed an aircraft off in the distance traveling parallel to the highway directly ahead and closing towards us. I pull off onto a dirt service road, paused for a minute or two and then continued on.
The Mercedes was pulled over by the law about a mile down the road.
Ping!
