FOX SUCKS! (NFL Virtually Unwatchable on Conventional TV)

I'm not one of those who thinks HD is SO much better that I have to throw out my perfectly good 32 inch 4x3 tube TV.
Now comes FOX with a "feature' that makes watching football virtually impossible on my TV. (except for the commercials - they're fine) They say they're giving me the "HD experience" but waht they're really giving me is a tiny, poorly computerized picture. Apparently the people who tested this thing never heard of the moree effect.
This is only on FOX. The game on CBS looks just like it always did.
How could the NFL allow FOX to do this to their product?

I wondered why the Fox programs were smaller than the screen, but figured it was some hi-def thing. I certainly didn’t get so upset about it.

Fox is the only channel I can get and my game is not on it. NBC does not come in anymore and dish isn't worth the money.

goody for you. The complaint is the tvs that aren’t HD have had their content unfairly crippled. At least that seems to be the gist of it. YMMV.

FOX is doing what they should have done years ago; they’re framing the picture for 16:9 HDTVs, because those are now the majority of TVs in the US.
They started this in the preseason. There was plenty of ample warning time. Don’t like it? Get a new TV or don’t watch the game.

Watching the game last week was a pain. My reception had people's head sliced off vertically if they were standing to the side. And, the scoreboard looked screwy.
Too bad, because FOX has always done the best coverage.

I guess you have difficulty with the English language. No, you have problems with the FRENCH language. It is "moiré" effect, not "moree".

It’s called letterboxing, and you’re actually seeing more of the game.

Ha! Yea, he's seeing more of the game, unfortunately that more of the game is on a smaller image to watch. Too funny.

That’s what happens when you fall behind the technology curve.
