Something evil is afoot at the Circle K ping!
Health and Human Services can't seem to learn that lesson, either, :)

Sad story, and a cautionary tale.
“Folks, you can’t fix stupid.”
LOL, further proof that there is no cure for stupid.
Limit the number of people who know you've won.
Folks always want to glom off the winnings or hard work of others.
Amazingly, a couple of weeks after my Daddy died, my mother received a letter from a perfect stranger, saying that since my mother would probably get money from his insurance, she should send some to this perfect stranger, who had fallen on 'hard times'.
I have no idea how this woman got my mother's address, and I was absolutely amazed by the gall of her to write and ask for money from someone she doesn't know, with the attitude that somehow she deserved to get it.
>> They had $27.20 to their name, but he decided to drive to the Circle K on Trouble Creek Road in New Port Richey and spend $5 on Lotto.
Was it Adam Smith that called lotteries a “tax on stupidity”?
The photo of her explains it all...a life of poor decisions.
NBA and NFL players are known to blow their millions in similarly stupid ways. Some people have no concept of what money is and how to wisely invest or spend it. A few do, and they create jobs and wealth. Then they’re accused by the idiot class of being greedy.
That is almost unbelievable.
I thought that was Orwell?
Not surprised they had no self-control.
Kinda funny, I know a man here in TN that went to Florida on a fishing trip during the early 90’s and bought a Lotto ticket and won 13 million dollars. He to took it on an annual payment of 666,666.00 a year. He still farms and has purchased more land that adjoins his original parcel, his wife still teaches school and his son still works for the Electric Co.
I guess morals, upbringing and environment has a lot to do with how these things workout. You’d never know he had money to talk to him and he is a typical middle class family man.
What’s worse is that the winners cannot stay incognito: most lottery rules states that names have to be released. Damn IRS. Back in canada where I grew up and until now: if the lottery pool says $50 million and you win the lotto, you get ALL and EVERY $$ of the amount you won and not any govt revenue service will bother you for taxes. They will even pay you in cash, no questions asked. Here it’s the reverse.
Learned that truth the hard way, didn't she?
If you are a loser, money will not make you a winner. Look at Ted Turner. Human debris is human debris.
I bet she got those tattoos in her forties.
