What are your "Must Read" books

Posted on 10/01/2010 8:36:26 PM PDT by MNDude

Everyone's opinion, what would be three books that every adult should read?

How about three books every kid should read?

(besides the Bible, since that's a given for most)

Federalist Papers

Will and Ariel Durant's Story of Civilization (book series, I know. But I'm a rebel.)

Anything by Mark Helprin but I'm partial to “A soldier of the Great War” I wanted a fiction book in the three.

I would go with Waugh’s Brideshead Revisited, the major works of Shakespeare ( I know that is cheating) and the Summa Theologica of Aquinas.
