About 500 birds. These kills are not that uncommon.

I’m guessing weather or something is the cause.

About 500 birds.

Locals report sufficient grill & freezer space, all is well.

They are sending several dead birds off for testing.

The article states that these mass deaths are not uncommon.

The article says the U.S. Geological Service’s website lists about 90 mass deaths of birds and other wildlife from June through Dec.

It would take all 500 to make a decent meal. :)

A friend from the south was here in the early spring a few years ago and was shocked at at the dead fish. The die off can be bad after a particularly long hard winter. Also in the spring the megansers arrive for a few weeks and they kill far more fish than they eat.

Around here the blue jay numbers haven’t recovered from getting hit with west nile virus a few years back.

This bit of news should lead the global warming crew to double up on their meds.

This is Louisiana. The initial fall consisted of 5,000. birds. You do the math while I go check my oven.

I suggest checking every Cajun in the area for a 4 gauge shotgun.

In the middle of the night, protected species, everyone off shooting firecrackers.....

Fire up the grill Boudreaux, it’s dinner time...

Plucking 5000 blackbirds.

That’s going to take a bit of time.

That had better be some good Cajun Billy Jack.

The fish kills and the Bird deaths may not be all that uncommon. But the excuses that are being given are obviously lies.

THAT is the problem. granted bureacrats automatically lie.
but, why say it’s firworks 24 hrs passed firwork displays.
Doesn’t explain the LA bird kill.

Sorry I want to see blood work and xrays.
