I agree about secrets in an Army unit. I got out after being an enlisted guy in the Army for 20+ years in 2004. I never heard anything about stuff like this in the Army. 50,000 guys? I also cannot imagine a CO telling a victim of something like this that it must have been his fault when he reported it. I call pure BS on it.

“I’ve often thought that it was a strange think that normally decent people think rape in prison is funny.”

Political correctness features an unholy alliance between the gays and feminists. It runs up and down the entertainment world. Second wave feminists hate men. Gays lust after them. End of story.

Yukking it up about man rape is a staple of metrosexuals. It fits right in with this insane P.C. religion that runs the world.

Concur with the Bravos Sierra assessment on this story, Rembrandt. With more BS piled higher and deeper with this UCMJ offense "not being recognized as an offense until '92". Remembering 1992 with Tailhook(er); when a handful of Navy Aviators didn't pay prostitutes for services performed. MSM distorted the truth on that one too.

Anyway, Newsweak alleges the victim is 35YOA male; except this soldier's story doesn't even match the homosexual asault demographics which Newsweak supplies. Seems more like Tailhooker, again. Newsweak even fails to mention each of the military branches have different maximum age for enlistment.

Which leads me mention of the fraudulent data supporting the repeal of DADT. The methodology and means for collection of data is a crime.

Forcing service members to first watch a "required annual training" online course that demands sensitivity towards the civilian homosexual employee's sexual preferences. Members must take a quiz where questions covers Commandant's sexual harassment policy.

Then, force service members to take an "anonymous" online "attitudes toward homosexuality survey," where a member's rank, sex, age, and department which the member works, is all required demographic information to complete the survey. In a service as small as the USCG, any fool could accurately match the survey results to the individual that took it. Few members want any trouble for providing politically incorrect "wrong" answers.

Needless to say, the resultant data isn't even worth the drive space the study occupied; and that's why the left loves the data.

How better to keep a young man from entering the military? Newsweak has done its job admirably.

I was in for 15 years and I, too, never even heard a hint of this. I find it very hard to believe this 50,000 number.

As the Chief Master at Arms, (Navy equivalent to a cop), I investigated and prosecuted, (at Captains Mast), many gays for this type of activity. I was able to have numerous gays courts martialed for this also.

I had one 3rd class petty officer that told me during a pre discharge interview that his supervisor, a 2nd class, got him drunk and then tried to rape him at the 2nd class’ apartment. The 3rd class hit the 2nd class with a telephone and ran.

The reason that 3rd class was not re-enlisting was because of this 2nd class. If the 3rd class had stayed in the Navy, he would have remained on the ship with the 2nd class. We were at sea at the time and I had to put the 2nd class in a 24 hr protective custody while doing the investigation. Several other junior enlisted came forward with rape and attempted rape charges against the 2nd class and we were able to courts martial him.

Believe me when I say an active gay onboard ship at sea is really bad for moral, and can be a serious threat to the gay’s life. The ocean is unforgiving if you happen to “fall overboard” at night in the middle of the Pacific.

Newsweak is anti-military and anti-American. I don't believe anything it prints.

As retired (and utterly discredited ) Judge Vaughn Walker proves by its admission that he is caught in that web of homosexual deceit. But did NOT recuse himself because he (mistakenly -or was it more sinister-by design) did not believe his Sexual orientation affected his decision making.
No Officer, Educator, Politician, Judge—Nor anyone in any position of Trust ought be trusted if they are suspected of thinking they are or that “it’s ok to be gay” such people are beyond the reasonable factor of trust. They will betray EVERYTHING outside their corrupted (dementia?) Orientation.
Yes the Newsweek piece is disturbing but Newsweek has Long been governed by those who are or have already been captured by the homosexual militants.NOBODY should celebrate the corruption of our Armed Forces by the Presidential mandate to allow open sodomy within the ranks.

Anyone who chooses to believe ANYTHING Newsweek prints about the military has problems sufficient to discredit their opinions.

sweet, you know more than me on this

Did they always keep it super secret? Pass cover stories or something?

Because I could never confirm the rumors and no one wanted to talk about it. It almost seemed if any of the rumors were true, they had a very exacting protocol for dealing with it.

Ever time a rumor began circulating, the same pattern would repeat.

I was low on the totem pole, I wasn’t privy to any of this. It appeared that the only ones that knew these things were the Master at Arms, The Command Master Chief, and LCDRs and above.

The rumors always started when only these people were allowed at Captain’s Mast.

I never were able to confirm any rumor as fact.

I suspect there is a protocol for this. It is military policy to maintain unit cohesion. That is a directive, they will do anything to preserve it.

It might be harder in the Army to detect it for the average officer / enlisted man in the Army. In the Navy, our Captain is Judge, Jury, Executioner

The Navy is unique among the services to invest this much power in the Commanding Officer to conduct judicial punishment at sea. Coast Guard can get the same, but they have to be serving under US Navy Command on Deployment.

It would be a mistake to refer to this as “homosexual” rape. This has been used through out history by very straight men as a form of intimidation.

In fact...I could see this used specifically ON closeted homosexuals in the military as a method of control.

That said, it’s unfortunate.

I did not know this was happening,

Anyone who would rape a subordinate or fellow soldier belongs in prison or dead. It breaks my heart for these young men, trapped in these situations. This is sick.

One of the raped soldiers said he was targeted because he was small which was read to be “homosexual” and so he looked like a target for rape by “heterosexuals.”

He was not homosexual and the rapist was not heterosexual.

That is an up-side-down lie. Men who rape men are not heterosexuals. Heterosexual men who are raped by homosexual or bisexual men are not homosexuals.

Prove the story is false. Better that squeaking slogans and smearing the messenger.

You can not dismiss a rape just because a leftist brought it up. Evil hides and grows behind such ignorance. No doubt the “solution” to this problem for leftists will be designed to harm the military and will not help the male victims of rape in the military.

But you pretending that male on male rape in the military is fine and dandy or not a problem - as you probably do with prison rape - is treasonous to the constitution and disgusting.

The timing of exposing male on male rape in the military has to do with the gay agenda.

Leftists do not cover male homosexual rape nor do they condmen it. They are setting the baseline for a problem they know exists in the military, and have been supressing, prior to the repeal of don’t ask don’t tell. They don’t want conservatives blaming the of rape of male in the military on the repeal of don’t ask, don’t tell. With this, they have documented the rape began before dadt was repealed.

So you are right and you are wrong. Ther problem is real. The left is scheming by admiting male on male rape in the military is happening in this generation.

Before this age of social leftism, the mental state of homosexuality was classifed as a state of mental illness for a reason. Treason is nothing to them when it comes to the obsession with serving their butts.

Sticking your head in the sand with a neat and tidy slogan is abandoning soldiers who did not deserve to be raped in the military.

Is Newsweek trying to scare heteros out of joining the military, to further weaken the military?

I understand how you are upset. I can’t spend more than a brief time on a thread like this or I feel like jumping off the stern end of a ship at full speed ahead.
