Present events in mind, I remember all those spoofs on “The Khadaffi Look” designer clothing line on SNL. Very funny stuff. I have the CD sets from 1975 thru 1982.

Back when SNL was actually funny... meaning it’s from at least 20 years ago.
To: ZirconEncrustedTweezers
It was probably over 30 years ago.

SNL hasn't been funny since Woddy Allen was funny.
And not funny in that sense.

I’d say it was even longer than 30 years ago that SNL was funny. In 1981, they did one of those cast replacements that resulted in painfully bad routines. They also had a bunch of obvious and flat-out partisan attacks on Reagan that weren’t remotely funny unless you were a Lib zealot.

That particular clip, definitely. But most of my SNL viewing was during the mid-to-late ‘80s and early ‘90s, which I found quite entertaining.

I always liked SCTV until close to the end.

I remember watching it the first season. People weren’t sure what to think.
Anybody else remember the fake commercial for “The New Dad” insurance policy?
Good times.

To be fair they also did one of Cater as POTUS in a nuclear reactor control room. It was priceless.
