It is clear that we are an utterly failed species. Left to our own devices, all we do is embrace the profane, the untrue, and outright evil.
In only a few decades, I have seen America START as a world leader in industry; a world policy maker; and a world instructor in how to be free and a functional representative republic. I have seen America FINISH as a second-rate financial has-beenl a country ridiculed on the international stage; and a nearly-complete Police State where SWAT kills with impunity and political 'crimes' abound.
Russia, too, attempted to throw off the chains of Communism, only to be immediately taken over by a crime syndicate. So, even when the failed policies of Communism are overthrown, all humanity seems to want to do is destroy itself anyways.
Communism appears to be on the march again, though it is very obvious by now to even the casual observer that it does not, has not, will never work.
Islam, a religion dominated by fanatics who willingly kill themselves to advance their cause of chaos and hate, is on the rise and is marked for ascendancy. This religion, dictated by a epileptic sun-mad pedophile, subjegates women, holds lying as acceptable, and insists death be the result of trying to leave Islam.
We are a failed species. The only possible solution is the complete extermination of the entire human race. We have utterly no chance of redemption, and we only spread evil. It is time to remove this cancerous growth known as 'mankind' from the universe.

What if you were told that "That will separate Christianity from fundies" or "The results of fundamentalism shows it ugly face again. " or "That means nothing to non believers but who cares about the satan's little pawns - they prefer the wide road." or "The ... likes darkness for his children as he kisses the koran and his little children bow and kiss his ring while their confessors rape their own. Can't get much darker than that. They liked the darkness so much they dug up this body to honor the leader. " or "A fundie trying to arrive at Truth - the joke of the day."
in ALL of these, just remove "fundie" with Catholic and these are posts posted just last week.
So, yes, we are fed up too.
But they don't -- come on. Baptists won't agree with Lutherans on whether there is the True Presence of Jesus Christ in the eucharist or with Anglicans on whether Baptism is for the remission of sins. Ditto for the disagreements with Seventh Day Adventists etc.

But you have also described the Seventh Day Adventists, the Jehovah's Witnesses, the Oneness Pentecostals etc.
I don't see anything in your categorization on whether Jesus is God, a man who became God or was never man. You see the difficulties?
But the core of the problem is that you say you are fed up with people mischaracterizing "fundamentalists" -- I haven't

AGREED . . . I’m not quite where you are but FR has finished off a lot of The Lord’s cleansing and healing on such scores. It’s difficult for posters to hurt to the core—or even offend.
It’s a much better place to be than taking offense at every slight, sling, stab to the heart . . . and most assumed so’s.

To put it bluntly Cronos, there’s a lot of beliefs out there in many different Protestant Churches which have only a nodding familiarity with the Scriptures. All of them, for one reason or another, have errors in them somewhere. Some, like Replacement Theology, are more dangerous than others but all of them have errors. The same goes for the Catholic Church and, while I’m only now beginning to study the Orthodox Church, I’m sure I’ll find doctrinal errors there too. The difference is, do they get the fundamentals of the Faith correct. Quite a few do, but quite a few more don’t and it’s only by actually studying the Scripture that you find the differences.

In short, you could consider us to hold to the Nicene Creed of 325. I would go so far as saying we would hold to the 381 Creed as well, but there's one issue that I need to look at first before I go that far.

Laz, get together with some friends and gather up some emergency supplies and take a road trip to a nearby tornado disaster area and help out for a day or so. You will be amazed at how good you will feel afterwards.
