A calico cat named Willow, who disappeared from a home near the Rocky Mountains five years ago, was found on Wednesday on a Manhattan street and will soon be returned to her family, where two of the three children and one of the two dogs may remember her.

Of course, after about 3 swipes...my big cat went "wham"...and that was the end of that little game.
The cat adopts you.
She evidently found somebody else that she liked.
When you're alone and life is making you lonely You can always go - downtown When you've got worries, all the noise and the hurry Seems to help, I know - downtown Just listen to the music of the traffic in the city Linger on the sidewalk where the neon signs are pretty How can you lose? The lights are much brighter there You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares So go downtown, things'll be great when you're Downtown - no finer place, for sure Downtown - everything's waiting for you Don't hang around and let your problems surround you There are movie shows - downtown Maybe you know some little places to go to Where they never close - downtown Just listen to the rhythm of a gentle bossa nova You'll be dancing with him too before the night is over Happy again The lights are much brighter there You can forget all your troubles, forget all your cares So go downtown, where all the lights are bright Downtown - waiting for you tonight Downtown - you're gonna be all right now [Instrumental break] And you may find somebody kind to help and understand you Someone who is just like you and needs a gentle hand to Guide them along So maybe I'll see you there We can forget all our troubles, forget all our cares So go downtown, things'll be great when you're Downtown - don't wait a minute for Downtown - everything's waiting for you Downtown, downtown, downtown, downtown ...
You can tell by the eyes....That cat is divorced and she got everything. Back to momma’s house.
I used to live in Manhattan and though you may never see a gypsy caravan, they are everywhere...sometimes tucked up in dark alleys behind seedy hotels or hiding under bridge and expressway overpasses. Sometimes they are parked in abandoned subway tunnels.;-)
BTW, gypsies often vacation in Colorado...but the trip by horse-drawn caravan is obviously long and tiring.
She must have hitch hiked. Your calico is a beauty!
It's a great feeling to reunite a lost pet with its owner. A couple of years ago we brought in a helpless declawed cat who was hiding on our property. Turned out the cat had a microchip. The owners broke out in tears when we called: The cat had been missing for over 4 1/2 years. They lived only a few blocks from us. The vet was amazed that the cat not only survived but was free of disease and viral infection.
ping a ding a ling :)
“Ms. Squires said she and her husband, Chris, were shocked when they received a call about Willow on Wednesday from Animal Care and Control, which runs New York Citys animal rescue and shelter system. Ms. Squires said that when they saw a picture of the cat, they knew it was Willow. “
This couldn’t by chance be the cat of Chris Squire? Bassist of the legendary rock band Yes?
Who wrote this, a third grader?
More than one Squires = Squireses? Come on, please, the writer of the article did this twice.
More evidence of schools going to crap.
Of course we know that.
Cause he wouldn't stay Uh-wuh-AAAAA...
Columbia. School of Journalism grad, no doubt.
I thought it was correct.
Squires (singular)
Squireses (plural)
Jones (singular)
Joneses (plural)
as in “Keeping up with the Joneses”
NOT “Keeping up with the Jones’” (I’ve actually seen it written like that).
I have a big soft spot for calicos! We had a darling that was polydatyl..still miss her!
