I have a problem watching any of their crap, even if it is a Youtube vid. I am just adding to their click points and view numbers..

Everything you say is true, but remember in this speech, Reagan was advocating and LOWERING THE TOP INCOME TAX RATES, exactly the OPPOSITE of what Obama has been proposing since he took office.

So sorry, NO SALE!

Mark Levin rips this to shreds.

The real Ronald Reagan obliterates Obama’s version of Reagan

I’m not worried about the security. It’s that you may be wasting my time.

When a suggestion to visit an outside link is made. It is polite to provide at least a wee little bit of context.

I expand on my original comment: There is a lot of stuff “making its rounds on facebook” which is of no material value. If I am interested in Presidential candidates, then a youtube on the unwashed in NYC is of no concern to me, or perhaps vice versa.

Thanks. I knew there would be much more to it. It is easy to rip a 10 second sound bite from its context.

The real story is how Tip O’Neil and the Left outright lied to Reagan on their intent to cut spending in return for tax hikes......

Dem’cats Lie........a fact of life. They have to, its what they are.

apples and oranges. obama is comparing the capital gains tax rate to income tax rate. a thoroughly dishonest comparison by any measure. reagan was comparing the income tax loopholes of the rich and the income tax of everyone else.

OBAMA: capital gains vs. income tax
REAGAN: income tax vs. income tax

reagan was right to do what he did, and he was successful. obama is totally corrupt and is comparing apples and oranges because he can make it sound like the rich aren’t paying ANY taxes. when in fact, the top .1% pay more than the bottom 80%!

obama...is...a...fraud! so is think progress.

Yes, my comment is President Reagan had a Democrat Congress. Did Regan's Democrat Congress close the loop holes?

One day America's voters may wake up to the fact that everything in the tax code is the result of decisions taken by 535 Representatives, 9 Supreme Court Justices, and 1 President.

Protesting Wall Street is meaningless. Protesting the Representatives who succumb to the influences of corporation’s lobbyist and Wall Street in exchange for generous campaign contributions can be effective.

The grass roots Tea Party Movement directs its protests where it matters. The uniqueness of the Tea Party makes them entirely different than the “Occupy Wall Street” protest. The Tea Party is unique because it is not asking the government to give them something.

Levin totally failed to demolish it. I’m interested in knowing more about Reagan’s 1985 statement, but Levin didn’t elaborate on that at all. He simply claimed it was taken out of context, without providing any context, and then plays a lengthy clip of Reagan’s “Time for Choosing” speech. That’s a classic speech. It’s also irrelevant to this discussion.

You obviously weren’t listening. Clean the wax out of your ears and try again.

Another vote here for “context, please”.

Random “hey, look at this” links are usually a waste of time and are duly ignored.
(Responses like this are due to the act of responding being more interesting than the average random “hey, look at this” link.)

Listened to the whole thing. Reagan's 1960s Goldwater speech has nothing to do with what he said in GA in 1985. Levin is trying to change the subject. He takes an argument about closing loopholes and turns it into Obama is no Reagan.

Well duh. But that doesn't say anything about Reagan's statements in 1985. You may have fallen for Levin's misdirection, but I didn't.

there’s nothing in that speech about loopholes. The soundbite of reagan talking about loopholes must not be from that speech you linked to.

I can believe that someone would make a video with a Reagan soundbite taken out of context. But what is shocking to me is that so many people INCLUDING THE PRESIDENT actually think it is a valid point and honest debate to do something so fraudulent. I am just shocked. Utterly shocked. That is why I put this on FR. For some reason there are some freepers that are behaving rude towards me for doing so. That equally as shocking to me.

I sure would like to see more freepers elaborate on this. This video I linked to is just stunning to me, but I had no idea some of the comments I would get would be equally stunning.
