Long Time Conservative Patriot Mike Moreland Passes
Long time conservative patriot, Boone County Magistrate and constitutional conservative Mike Moreland of Union Kentucky died today. Mike is survived by his wife a son and grandchildren.
Moreland, pictured here with Rand Paul and Lloyd Rogers, was known for his staunch defense of civil liberties long before the TEA party movement became popular. Moreland was a reliable republican supporter and campaign volunteer in addition to the service he rendered to his community in elected office. He is the only elected official on the Boone County website who listed his cell phone number as available "day or night".

Thank you Elena. I am doing extrordinarily well given the extent of
my cancer and surgery (three very major ones). I have reached a plateau for my rehab physically but am gratefuil to be able to walk at all. Thank you for your faith and prayers. I can tell you they meant so much to Gail and I from so many good people. Mike was one of them. He opened his home to me when we went back to DC for the March for Liberty in 1999. What a wonderful patriot and Christian man. He will be missed. God bless you and yours Elena!

Thanks for the heads up Jeff. He & I never crossed paths on the site or in life but he sounds like a remarkable man and patriot. There are so many fine people at FR that we dont run into. I think of you & Gail so often & so fondly. Praise God for the extra time he gave you that the docs originally said wouldn’t be there. I hope that Mike’s passing was gentle and that his family will be comforted by THE great comforter!
