Tim Tebow leads Broncos to overtime win over the Dolphins in first start

Posted on 10/23/2011 1:51:29 PM PDT by Perdogg

Yes, I know it is the Dolphins, but he did throw two touchdowns and coverted a 2pt conversion to send it into overtime.

He was 13 for 27, 2-TDs and 0-Ints for QB rating of 91.70.

But, but, but, but, but, but, but, but, but Tebow can’t play NFL level football. Can’t. Won’t. Can’t. This did not happen. Can’t be true. Won’t succeed. Can’t. Won’t.

I was a big Fins’ fan when I lived in SoFla, they lost me when Shula was let go.

Next week’s Detroit @ Denver game is an interesting matchup now. After starting out 5 - 0, the Lions have lost their last two. ...both at home. And it’ll be Tebow’s first home start.

It’ll all depend on if Stafford comes back, Detroit has a big fall off at QB and become quite beatable without him, with him they’ll play angry.

Ah, I wasn’t aware of his injury today, but I just looked it up. Last offensive play of the game for the Lions, on 4th down. Damn.

Tebow may not be the best QB but he an uberleader and proved it today and will get a chance to start again.

Thank you dfwgator. I remember some of the 1st Elway season. It was BAD! I wish folks, and yes, especially ESPN would simply hush and give Tim Tebow his shot. Everything does not need to be analyzed to death. Remember also Reggie White and Kurt Warner played in a different time. I am not a Christian looking for a boogie man behind every tree, but TV today slams Christians in all venues, even sports. Tebows pro life commercial and commitment to marriage ARE the spark for the attacks. Might it be that we would all be ATTACKED for such a strong commitment. God Bless Tim Tebow even if does not win 1 more game.

I just threw up in my mouth.

I remember when Elway inadvertantly lined up behind the guard instead of the center on a play during his rookie year.

I saw some highlights during the halftime show of the GB/Minn game. I thinking this is probably the most impressive debut of a rookie QB in NFL history. Does anybody remember a better performance by a rookie QB in his first game?

Tom Brady came close to Tebow's debut performance in the first game he started back in 2001 against Indy.

I think he’s going have a very bright future in politics.

You just complimented him on being a good quarterback, don't accuse him of being stupid...........

Seeing Tim Tebow tonight and Matt Barkley (USC) last night on their knees giving honor to God is one of the things I enjoy most about watching America's Game (football). God bless America.

Re ow is a solid guy. He is who he is. He wears his emotions on his sleeve. I’lll bet there are a dozen NFL teams who would take this guy right now. Props to tebow.

I’m a Packer and Aaron Rodgers fan, so I’m hardly a booster for Tebow....just a casual observer. But heart has a lot to do with success as much as physical attributes like quick release. Joe Kapp was considered a sub-par passer too, but he took the Vikings to the Super Bowl. Tebow might have a lot of Joe Kapp in him.
