Kate's black Alexander McQueen gown - the same designer as her wedding dress - had frill trim around the bust and a fishtail-style skirt. It was so long on the five-foot, 10-inch Duchess, that she had to keep hitching it up to keep it from scraping on the ground.

Not at all, the lighting and shadow in that one pic gives the illusion. Look at all the other pics and she looks like she could use a cheeseburger..........I"M NOT COMPLAINING!
She is far more fetching than Diana. She has a very lovely face.

The black dress, by David and Elizabeth Emanuel (who designed her wedding gown), was worn by a 19-year-old Diana to her first official appearance after her engagement to Prince Charles – and earned her the tabloid nickname “Daring Di” for its low neckline and bare shoulders.
Must be security. He has that Secret Service look to him, like he’s ready to kick the first *** that tries to approach her, uninvited.
Arms are horrible, like she’s on a rowing team and took steroids.

Not that I know anything about human anatomy but I am guessing when you are very thin and work out the upper body... arm muscles tend to look more “massive”. The dress is absolutely stunning to me.
But she’s not a “titles and nobility” sort. She comes from a very hard-working, middle-class family. It’s nice that the prince fell in love with a smart normal girl and married her instead of marrying someone with a title and kennel papers that go back to Boadicea. She’s doing very well in her new job.
And remember, that “titles and nobility” stuff adds a lot to England’s bottom line in terms of tourist dollars. It’s a business. They keep the royals etc. around for a reason: revenue.
