Vehicles drive through blizzards near the Lehliu railway station, 45 miles east of Bucharest. The storm, which swept in from Siberia, has killed more than 200 people.. NEW YORK (MarketWatch) Unusually cold weather, plunging temperatures to 31 degrees below zero in some areas, is expected to continue sweeping across Europe in coming days after causing hundreds of deaths in Eastern Europe and air-traffic delays in London and elsewhere.
January has been the ninth-snowiest month since 1966 for Europe and Asia, though for the entire northern hemisphere, its been about average for snow this season, according to Associated Press.
Londons Heathrow Airport, Europes busiest, cancelled half its flights Sunday, officials said. Londons Gatwick Airport received less snow and as of Sunday planned to run all scheduled flights.
In Ukraine, freezing temperatures have killed at least 131 people during the nine-day cold spell, many of them homeless, while the death toll in Poland reached 53, reports said.

We’ve been skyping with a foster daughter in eastern Belarus. It got to 36 below (F) there, water not working, using a hand pump outside. schools closed, snow very deep, cars won’t start.

Obviously, its so cold in Europe because of global warming. It's called "climate change" now. So no matter which direction it moves, it's still your SUV's fault and you owe Al Gore money. :)

According to St. Al Gore, the core of the Earth is several million degrees
It's about 5,000° C, actually. But this is where libs get their science updates. It would be hypocritical not to believe it without question.

You know, I actually had a co-worker here in central Europe tell that.
I didn’t bother asking him to explain his “logic.”

Big al bore must feel very proud of himself in predicting how cozy and warm the European would be as the wrath of global warming continues to warm their hides up a bit.

The problem was not the quantity of the snow, but the strong winds,Amen to that. Nothing worse than the back side of a Nor'easter. Except maybe shovelling out a few feet of rock-hard drifted snow.
I live in the SE now. Don't miss it a bit.
