Rumor of the day: We're gonna be getting more Stargate

When Stargate Universe was canceled a few seasons ago, it marked the end of a beloved franchise that had been on the air in some form or another for well over a decade. Now rumor has it that Stargate may not be as dead as we thought.

Gateworld is reporting a rumor that something is in the works to revive the show, though the medium and details are still a little fuzzy.

That would be wonderful!!!! However, I don’t trust Sci-Fi. It has become to science fiction what MTV has become to music.

With network ratings what they are, one of the majors might as well pick it up. It would probably do as well as any of the other shows they pick.

What ever they do with the show, I hope they make it fun to watch and not another navel gazer.

They shoulda called it Stargate Perverse last time. I bailed after very few episodes. Totally awful. The original Star Trek was even better than that abomination.

A revival might work if they keep the pervert, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transexuals, homeless and watermelon element out of the story lines -- this time.

Check the Board of Directors of the NG Society.

They have been leading dyed-in-the-wool satanic globalists from its inception.

Too bad the SG-1 cast is too old to star in an SG-1 update and too rich to need work. A third SG-1 movie was in the works — “it’s going to be an O’Neill movie” — when they pulled the plug. The cast was already being signed to do it and publicly enthusiastic. Smelled strongly of office politics. Universe stank, frankly. Bad scripts and a cast of characters you actually rooted for to die. My wife and I keep re-watching “Continuum” — a truly great Stargate flick.

Universe was fine, but I really enjoyed Atlantis, it was a very fun series and I loved Rodney McKay and John Sheppard and really liked when they added Robert Picardo to the cast.

SGA was a good series. Like the original SG1, there was good chemistry between the actors.

Perhaps you have not checked their names . . .

Perhaps you have not considered the fairly effective full court press efforts in the NG to . . .

undermine the Judeo-Christian ethic, construction on reality, etc. etc. etc.

I say again . . . check the names.

Virtually any decade, say.

It was true in 1965 when I first studied globalism as the acting Dir of the Univ Library Special Collections Dept. It’s still true, today.

My boss was the one who suggested I check the names. I didn’t believe him. He was right.

WRONG! I love all things Stargate (except the original movie, anyway).
SGU was fantastic. I loved the darker aspect. As far as the lesbo stuff, who cares? They didn't beat you over the head with it constantly like they do in pretty much every British and Canadian show I have tried to watch recently.
The episodes toward the end there with the alternate timeline crew setting up their own colony were INCREDIBLE!!! Just genius writing.

I used to watch Stargate. Be nice to bring it back. I’m stillw aiting for the Quatum Leap sequel which was benched in 2006 on Sci-Fi/SyFy.
