For decades, pioneer aviator Amelia Earhart was said to have “disappeared” over the Pacific on her quest to circle the globe along a 29,000-mile equatorial route.
Now, new information gives a clearer picture of what happened 75 years ago to Ms. Earhart and her navigator Fred Noonan, where they came down and how they likely survived – for a while, at least – as castaways on a remote island, catching rainwater and eating fish, shellfish, and turtles to survive.

Are You still current? and the manual gear handle was virtually “Fail Safe!” With the 252 You throw the Gear Up Switch and look to see the the three greens. So far, everytime! GOD BLESS!
Love knowing it’s ceiling is 28,000 but I feel more comfortable not pushing that!
Put in about 400 hours a year in the Six (my partner a little less)...I find that 1500 pound useful load suits the flying I do these days, even if she's a bit on the slow side.
The Six is a Great Plane and that Useful Load is Fantastic!
4000 hours a year is fantastic too! Who cares how fast one is going anyway as long as You are flying like a Bird for the First Time in Man’s History. My First Instructor and My Flight Examiner for my Private Ticket was Rated as an Examiner thru ATP and his License Number was 30,008. Only the thirty thousand man to be licensed in the U.S.! He told me to buy a plane no matter what. He then had a Mooney who nobody was allowed to touch except him. But his C-150 I flew
he and his wife flew all over the Country and he told me that He Loved it just as much as his Mooney. I am sure Bruce Story is flying now way beyond those Clouds we Love!
I learned to fly in a Super Cub and it was a d--n sight more fun than anything I have flown since. I would buy one except that our marriage has a "one airplane at a time" clause.
What a sad end.
There is a grass runway airport here, Van Sant, and You can still go up in a old Cub or Super Cub! I fyour licensed, they let You take the stick! It is a fantastic time! They also can take You up in a 1917 Stearman with aerobatic maneuvers as well! And cheap! $150 for 40 minutes!
