This is the only man who can screw up beating Obama. I've experienced, first hand, the tactics of his foot soldiers. They are as bad as the Occupy Wall Street Crowd.
|
Maybe the good guys should adopt those tactics instead of bawling that others are determined to prevail. What do you think? |
I wonder if the media has a plan for this one? Will it be to amplify the crazy old coot and smear Romney to split conservatives or will it be a smear on all Republicans?
I’m kind of looking forward to finding out because either way, it’s going to make libertarians look real bad.
The liberals rely on incremental gains as we get sucked into all or nothing each election.
The left is far smarter than we will ever be and explains why the have won the culture war in the US.
We are waiting for Godot.
Any person who thinks it is acceptable for people like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to have nuclear weapons has displayed a naivety of evil that precludes them from holding the office of the President of the Untied States.
The liberals rely on incremental gains as we get sucked into all or nothing each election.

All Obama has to do is go around Congress again this time legalizing dope smoking and the Paul cult will fall flock to the polls to vote for him in November.
I just get so sick of hearing those nuts refer to the Tea Party like they are part of it.
If they really cared about their country, they would stop their madness.
Only those that don’t believe Obama has made any liberal/socialists gains , or have issue with those gains, oppose Romney.
Reagan was a RINO by Freeper standards and would be banned from posting here.
He was the best president we have had, but far from perfect.
Ross Perot.. The Sequel.
If they really cared about their country, they would stop their madness.
Somebody is going to have to help me out here. I would listen to the video again, but 8 minutes of Dr. Paul is plenty.
What I took away from this is he is calling for his supporters to rally at the convention and delegates and alternates to influence the party platform.
Other than being disruptive, is there any real damage he can do?
Reagan was not a RINO by the same standards I judge Romney. Reagan compromised his position here and there. Romney compromised himself and in many cases went full tilt for the other side. He was going to out-Kennedy Kennedy on abortion - remember?
I hate to be a downer. I do. But the GOP seems to be made up of egos. Ron Paul, Mitt Romney and the McCain’s come to mind. We are not all on the same page so unity is fickle. I would like nothing more than the best conservative to take out Obama. Just does not seem likely this year. We’ll have to take Romney, but I don’t have to like it. I’ll still be voting 3rd party, but my state is always going to the republican so okay. I have nothing more to add. At a loss of words. Just know this I was lukewarm on Ron Paul, Mitt Romney, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry and at times Gingrich. Wild times.
The phrase should not be “voting for the lesser of two evils”, rather it should be “we are voting for less evil”. The truth is all of us are imperfect and have evil (sin) in us.
In other words, there is no getting around voting for the lesser of two evils because we are all fallen human beings - from God’s point of view we all have evil in us. You go with the candidate who supports less evil.
You look at the candidates and determine which of the candidates supports most of what you believe in. Candidate A supports 0% of what you believe while Candidate B supports 50%. Which one do you vote for? It’s a no -brianer. You have to go with the most viable candidate who supports more of the principles you believe in.
Sometimes you party doesn’t get the candidate which supports 90% or 100% of what you support. That’s life. You have to play with the hand you are dealt. Anything else is just a pipe dream. If you say “I’m not going to play and I’ll just take my ball and go home” - you forfeited your ability to have any say in the outcome of the game.
But, some people seem to get some kind of satisfaction from sitting at home and writing that song “Here I Sit All Alone with My Principles”. Good-luck with that.
Many many of these people have been elected as delegates and alternates to the convention. They are suing in order to allow delegates to vote their conscience, instead of what the primaries and preferential elections said. For example, here in AZ we lost half of our delegates because Jan Brewer moved the date of our Presidential Preference election up. Apparently, the election is not legally binding, or so the RP people say. So even though Mitt Romney won by a huge margin here in AZ during our “primary” these delegates say they do not have to vote for Romney, they will vote for Ron Paul.
If you stick to my definition you'll find all the RINOs you need.
FOR INSTANCE, of the 16 different candidates who registered with the RNC To run this year, only 3 of them were LIfelong Republican Conservatives ~ which isn't actually required of you to be a non-RINO, but it's really something to think about.
Remember our budding Leftwing Pro-Romney chorus telling us the Conservatives were dividing the vote? Well, then, what about the 13 RINOs? Seems to me they did a pretty good job at it and got one of their own set up to prevail at the convention.
The RINOs, by the narrowest of definitions ~ not even accounting for ideology ~ now own the GOP-e. It's their party, not ours.
Romney can't even lie good.
The man has absolutely no capability to motivate anyone or anything politically.
“Other than being disruptive, is there any real damage he can do?’
Simply withholding adulation for the pro-abortion, etch-a-sketch god-seedlet throws certain people into spasms of malice.
Actually folks should question whether they aren’t tea partiers labeled as Paulistinians to get the adverse reaction.
The GOPe threw out the same accusations of Ron Paul chaos in the Michigan convention but the fact is that tea partiers, GOP conservatives and yes, some Ron Paul types negotiated and formed a coalition that threw Saul Anuzis and Holly Hughes off the national committee.
The republicans who took their places are Dave Agema and Terri Land. I’ve got mixed feelings on Land but Dave Agema is a good firm mainstream conservative.
>...to split conservatives ?????
Are you serious?
Romney is a liberal democrat in republican territory who will say anything including lying to your face to get a vote.
Conservatives can’t stand Romney. At least with Obama we know who the enemy is.
Let Paul flip the collective bird to the RINO and meanwhile we strengthen TP numbers in the House, take over the Senate with conservative leadership, stop liberal judge appointments and liberal treaties such as LOST, and cut cut cut spending.
Then, move to impeach Obama on F&F and Ineligibility, get rid of Boehner, elect a TP conservative as Speaker and have the new Speaker sworn in as President Pro Tem because Biden will be shown the door as not eligible having been sworn in while accompanying a fraudulent actor.
But Romney? Please. He will appoint liberal judges, preserve Obamacare, back gay marriage, legalize illegals and move to quash the conservative movement.
The fact is the Presidency has already been lost unless Paul can create a brokered convention, then all delegates are up for grabs and are not bound to Romney but can vote for a true conservative which is what is needed.
The will of the voters has been made clear. What right does anyone have to overturn the Primaries or the State Republican Rules and policy after the fact?

Ron Paul opens the convention.
Heinrich Himmler would be a lesser evil in this cycle. His malevolent genocide was aimed at a smaller segment of humanity and he actually brought some measure of military experience. I wouldn’t vote for him either.
There is a difference between imperfect and inadequate, and actively malevolent.
Direct personal threat?
“The will of the voters has been made clear.”
Yes. None of these clowns were desired by a majority.
Sheesh, Didn't anyone ever hear of voting for the best available candidate?

What they meant was we all have to vote liberal and be as one...
After all what would you want to be known as, a far right wing off the charts radical conservative or a middle of the road loved by all centrist like 0bama? /s
More likely Obama will cut out someone's tongue than Paul will.
Your paranoia is noted ~ now, direct it toward the right guy ~ and his name begins with a 0.
Fixed it for you.
Romney(R)
0bama(D)
Can't you see the difference? /s
> “So even though Mitt Romney won by a huge margin here in AZ during our primary these delegates say they do not have to vote for Romney, they will vote for Ron Paul.”
Good.
Anything to deny that bastard RINO and his GOPe lapdogs a win.
The people do.
Looks like a null set this time around.
Nice, threatening a fellow freeper. You must be real proud of yourself.

Thanks Hildy.
That could set the stage for a pretty interesting convention. I’m no huge fan of Romney (or Paul), but this sounds like it could change the entire primary process if delegates were to vote their conscience in the first round.
We surely live in interesting times.
Reagan was a former union leader and Democrat!
muawiyah: Start naming names or hold your tongue while you still got one.
muawiyah: Your paranoia is noted ~ now, direct it toward the right guy ~ and his name begins with a 0.
Hmmm. I somehow missed the part in your post demanding the naming of names where you indicated that the threat was from Obozo.
The people do.
Having a hard time reading today moowahwyahhhh?
The state rules exist. The people have spoken.
And Ron Paul is a deranged asshole.
The ratchet effect. Ratchets move forward in small increments; they never move backwards.
Just look at what the EPA (a Nixon creation) has done. They have completely changed the electricity generation industry with no vote by Congress by essentially banning coal power plants.
Where is the R leadership on this???
The EPA didn’t get this power overnight.
Ah! An Obozo supporter!
Okey dokey.
I was actually asking what legal political repercussions might result...not the emotional response.
But thanks for your response.
Never mind that Ron Paul called Ronald Reagan a “failure”..
