What radical climate change zealots don't want you to know...
After man learns to control earthquakes, volcanoes and other natural disasters can he even begin to think about controlling our climate. Climate change has been going on ever since the earth was formed and will continue until the sun cools or planet earth is destroyed. Forces outside of our control (e.g. the sun, solar wind, etc.) are the drivers and, at this time, there is nothing anyone can do about it.
In lieu of instrumentation, ice cores provide one of the best methods for determining past climatic conditions. Even if the cavemen didn't have thermometers we can, with some degree of certainty, determine the climatic conditions they lived under. Ice cores have shown that our climate has undergone numerous changes long before the Industrial Revolution.
Now there is nothing wrong with conservation but thinking it will solve anything is absurd—sometimes it can create more problems than it solves. When you think of the enormity of the problem it's like pouring a teaspoon of salt into the ocean trying to change its salinity. In a couple of hundred or thousands of years all those contaminants will revert back to their basic elements. Whether man will be around to reap the benefits of nature's cleansing technology is uncertain.
Their objective was not about solving anything. It was an attempt to add a created commodity to be bought and sold, so a 'few' could control what the rest of humanity could or could not do. Con artists selling a flimflam scam preaching 'fear'.

It’s much deeper than that. It is about controlling energy production and economic activity worldwide. If you control that, you control the world. As long as the US remains in control of it’s energy future, that agenda will not succeed.
In the past, when able to do so, a man could leave his place of birth and go to wherever a better future could be had. This was the basis for the discovery and colonization of the New World, the Pilgrims voyage, the settlement of the western US, the massive migrations from Europe in the 19th and 20th centuries.
But today, exploration and discovery is finished, the planet will fill up and the people are being caged in, slowly and inevitably.
Unless some bright young scientist comes up with an economical way to leave this planet in search of a new world to settle, we are doomed to become like a caged pack of dogs with too little room and not enough food. War is the inescapable result........

Yes, I agree. The lefts presentation though is like a religious experience. There is this movement to form a 'new world order', and affordable energy is what keeps free peoples free. Free people are not willing to turn over to a bunch of marxist their God given rights. The left knows this which is why they had to manipulate the data to make their claims appear legitimate.
I hope you mean real solutions, because there are real environmental problems. They're just not the ones the greenies invent for fun and profit.

Just wanted to comment on the ice age cycles. Ice cores reveal the temperature history from an oxygen isotope ratio. These ratios show the emergence of a 100,000 year ice age cycle that began about 1.5 million years ago, with the temperatures of the cold period of the cycle decreasing with each cycle for the first one million years. For the last 500,000 years, the temperatures during the cold periods have been similar (the temperature fluctuates, but it tends to be about 18 deg Fahrenheit on average less than the warm periods). The cold periods of the cycle last about 90,000 years, while the warm periods 10,000. The current inter-glacier period, called the Holocene, has lasted longer than any recent interglacial period. Considering this, and the repetitive nature of the cycle, we are likely on the verge of another ice age.
Another concern. In the midst of an ice age, a significant portion of North America will not be arable.
I live in a northern state. Most of the time, it is not possible to survive where I live. During the coldest period of an ice age, our summers are likely similar to our current winters, while the winters rarely getting above freezing. The summers are not sufficiently long or warm to melt the ice, so it builds up over time.
Before the emergence of the 100,000 year cycle, a 40,000 year cycle was dominant, with the coldest part of the cycle not as extreme as the 100,000 cycle. In other words, the earth has essentially cooled over the last several million years.
Most of the theories regarding the cause of ice ages do not correlate well with the observations (including Milankovich Cycles).
