Please forgive me if all of this sounds ridiculous... But I have spent a little time viewing clips from this "Innocence of Muslims" film. It is so astonishingly poorly acted and produced that I cannot even compare it to the worst student movies I have ever seen.... And I have produced, directed, and SEEN a lot of junk in formats from Super8 to 35 and up.
The piece is almost unbelievably bad. Unbelievably - as in - nothing I have ever seen from the West is this bad, this poorly edited, acted, written, lit, greenscreened. The piece is a parody of itself!
So - All I am left with is some kind of comparison, and, the only comparison I can draw is with the sort of stuff I have seen produced by radical Mohammedans themselves via Palestinian Media Watch, CAMERA, etc. You know, the scenes where the pink Jihad bunny tells the kids to kill lots of Jews before Ramadan so they can get lots of chocolates. That stuff is LAUGHABLY poorly done, and I hate to say it but... It looks just like this! Thoughts?

Reportedly, it cost $5m (supposedly contributed by 100 unidentified Jewish donors), took three months to make and used 60 actors and 45 crew. 5e6/3/(60+45) = $15.9K/mo per staff member. So, either the scenery was really expensive (not) or the actors were waaay overpaid.
I've seen better acting in many a school play.

What Jew would produce such a miserable piece of incendiary crap and attribute it to “100 Jewish donors” for some astronomical sum? It makes no sense. And what Copt would produce such a piece and want to nail it on a Jewish producer? That too makes no sense. One more thing: why are there Koranic FACTS mixed with so many FALSEHOODS? I can assure you that no producer who was serious about his piece would allow such a hodgepodge... Unless it was intended from the beginning that the piece be DERIDED.
But the evidence suggests that he is a Coptic Christian who was pretending to be Jewish. So far there is no evidence that he is a Muslim pretending to be a Coptic Christian pretending to be Jewish.
No doubt he wanted to deflect any blame from his own very vulnerable community to America and Israel.

What some nutjob criminal did is not important. What the purpose behind taking this poorly done and destined for obscurity CRAP and making it FAMOUS throughout Egypt, Libya and Yemen IS important.

Someone mentioned Idiocracy on another thread regarding our muslim infested government. The northern territories of Mali are really there. Or making an effort, in some cases, to pull back from there.
On the other hand, making an effort to pull back from Idiocracy may offend the serious muslims which would give them an excuse to kill the not so serious muslims after they gain control of moderate Mali.

This whole thing is very confusing. Some are saying that a “movie” is the cause of all the rukus. Others say it was caused by the video that the preacher made of hanging Mohammed. Which is it? A movie or a video? Are they the same? Hillary said “video”. Others are saying “movie”. What is really going on? I’m soooooo confused.
I disagree. It is easy to hire actors with no talent to read a script and act in front of a green screen (which is what they appear to have used). The Brotherhood, if setting up a provocation, would be likely to prefer actors who would be particularly provocative. After you have the film, you can edit it together to tell a different story from the one the actors think they were telling. Even using the name "Mohammed" would not be much of a clue because it's such a common name.
Nor do the other cast members, by and large. This was a southern California production, made by Nakoula Basseley Nakoula, an Egyptian Copt with a checkered past, who passed himself off as Sam Bacile, an Israeli Jew. It's all coming out ... more here.

Granada did indeed fall in 1492. Part of its surrender was a peace treaty agreeing that the Muslims remaining would have freedom of religion. The Catholic Monarchs broke the treaty and in 1502 gave all Muslims the option of conversion or expulsion.
Most converted, with varying degrees of sincerity, as did the Jews who were given the same options.
The Moriscos, as the now purportedly Catholic Muslims were called, were still highly unpopular with most Spaniards, who were skeptical of the sincerity of the Christianity, often with reason.
Spain put increasing pressure on the Moriscos, who launched several revolts in reply. In 1609 Spain expelled all the Moriscos, mostly to North Africa, where (somewhat ironically) many of them werek killed for being Christians.
