Seventy "lucky earthworms" have been married off in an elaborate wedding ritual in south Taiwan in a bid to raise awareness about the environment and the problem of soil erosion, organisers said on Monday.
The worms arrived Sunday at Takang Park in Tainan city inside a traditional wedding sedan draped in red cloth to "tie the knot with the soil of the park", Takang Community Development Association said.
"The ceremony was implemented exactly according to traditional Taiwanese customs," said Huang Sen-nan, the leader of the volunteer group.

Good thing they are not Jewish. I would be really hard for “him” to break that glass...

Seventy "lucky earthworms" have been married off in an elaborate wedding ritual Oh, they think they're lucky now, but wait until they see their new insurance premiums.

At least they will be able to worm their way out of the marriage if they need to.

This is weird? They have a traditional Taiwanese wedding. No doubt the children will have a traditional Taiwanese upbringing. Or something.

LOL!
Oddly enough, back in the day when we were residents of the Bay Area in CA, some friends of ours had the great idea of starting a worm farm. The four of us were brainstorming this thing, and we came up with a name: BoDeDoHo Farms...taken from the first two letters of each person’s first name.
(I guess you had to be there. It WAS CA, after all...)
