10. Thin air in Denver;
9. Too tired from golfing.
8. Worried that Romney was going to ask him trick questions like how many states there are in the US.
7. Thought the debate was really was going to be a surprise anniversary party.
6. Too busy looking for birth certificate.
5. Obama was trying to make Romney over confident.
4. Too excited thinking of romantic anniversary date with the first lady.
3. Obama wanted to make Joe Biden look smart.
2. Spent the day touring Medical marijuana facilities in Denver.
1. Thought he was going to be debating a moron, not a Mormon.

Obama had Kerry coaching him who was sitting in the front row of the debate hall and giving sign language to Obama - usually reserved for deaf people. Poor Obama was confused, could not understand Kerry’s fingers.

Correction: Kerry actually did successfully coach Barack Hussein Obama through the debate, before he didn't.
But in all seriousness, the way that right wing attack dog Jim Lehrer handed this debate to the Republicans leads me to believe we need an ombudsman.
