York County, PA here. Small stream flooding, some out laying areas still without power. Other than that, we’re good.
Darkshear checked in a while ago.

Checking in real quick.
Power is back on for the moemnt.
Dont know how long that will be.
They may have to shut us off again to hook others back up.
Will y’all abuse your ping lists for this thread please?

Central Vermont here. A few trees down and limbs blown off. We lost just before going to bed, and woke up to find it had been restored—presumably clearing a tree off the lines.
We have two adult children living in Brooklyn and one in lower Manhattan, without power. All three went uptown to sleep with friends and get a phone and computer connection. When their jobs re-open, my two daughters will have to walk to work across the Brooklyn Bridge, but it’s not too bad a walk and they are both exercisers.
In the meantime, one of my daughters is actually going to the Cape for a few days to grab a vacation until her job is back in place.
Most bizarrely, my son without power or phone in his apartment met with a friend who flew in from France yesterday, and they went to the opera last night. The Metropolitan Opera is uptown, and I presume in good shape. I haven’t heard yet how it went.

I too live in suffolk county. About a block north of southern state parkway. Thankfully no flooding, but we lost electricity at 10:30am on Monday. Have been without power since. Power lines down in 2 places on my block alone. Im writing this with my cell phone. My internet connection through my cell phone is very weak. During the storm it was ok. Within minutes of the storm passing, it went from very weak to non existent. It remains that way now. Im lucky to have access now. No doubt it will go back to being weak. (So people, pardon me if I dont reply to anybody in a timely manner. I simply cannot. Internet connection too weak most of the time. Its frustrating to wear my cell battery down while trying to get on a website or thread)
Spending the days reading books, at night reading by candlelight. Waiting for them to restore the electricity. Im told that will take 7-10 days for my area!
Nothing destroyed. My house withstood the 90mph winds. A few heavy branches fell harmlessly onto the ground in my backyard, far away from the house. Have plenty of food and water for myself.
Worst part for me is the boredom waiting for them to restore power so that I can have back my tv, cable, dvd player, and internet through my desktop computer. Reading books is ok. I love to read, but not all day long, every day.
I’m good. No power and living off a coleman grill radio and flashlight, but im safe.
Power at the office so im fine. Could be a lot worse considering im in the bronx/lower westchester and we got slammed too.
Power is still out in SE Montgomery County, PA and throughout the northern suburban Philly area. Some trees down in my neighborhood. Main hazard around here was falling trees, some areas such as Levittown, PA got utterly hammered in that regard. Still hundreds of thousands in Eastern PA without power, PECO says 80-90 of those who lost power (850,000 for PECO alone) will have power restored by Friday night.
Central Jersey - power came back last night after 50 hours without. We were pretty well prepared, gas stove and battery lights. Never opened the freezer until the power came back on and everything was semi-frozen - yay! Gas hot water heater has a pilot light and purely mechanical thermostat - hot water throughout - yay! Almost didn’t have water at all though - municipal water tower drained - no electricity for pump and pressure was very low before hook-up to another water company. Lots of water stored already but need to freshen it.
Everyone slept on west side of house - never even heard a couple big trees crack and fall - no houses hit in town, not even a little Cape on a postage stamp lot where an absolutely giant tree fell.
Son was bugging me why don’t we have a generator - told him only four nights out of more than four thousand in this house have we not had power - not worth it. If TSHTF there won’t be gas for long anyway.
I’m in the middle of MA, close to the NH border. No issues here at all: it rained. I feel fortunate — although that feeling is fleeting when I remember that I live in a very blue state.

Im here in NJ. Glad to hear that you are ok! Lots of people in NJ dont have power and there are huge lines at gas stations for gas for their generators. My phone & power came on the middle of last nite so I consider myself very blessed. However, I have family down the shore area and Long Beach Island and I dont know if that house is still standing. Everyone had to evacuate and it will be at least a couple days before they let people back on to LBI. The shoreline area took a huge hit.
From Moorestown NJ suburb of Philadelphia, just got power restored at 7:00AM today. Cooked on the gas grill. House inside temperature dropped to low 50’s. Lots of large trees down in our town. Halloween postponed til Monday. No problem with gasoline in this part of the state.
Lower Middlesex county, CT. No power at home but I’m at work. I bought a 6000W generator when I built my house twelve years ago. My wife and two sons are home enjoying limited power.
Connecticut, at least in my area, was spared the devastation that a good portion of the rest of lower new England and the mid Atlantic got.
Prayers up for them
Jersey City. Power came back on about an hour ago so I can finally read FR! Gas should be back in a few hours the workmen tell us.
Personally, the street my car was parked on was flooded. Eyewitness told me the water came up to the roof of my car. Needless to say, my car is history. It’s just a car, I fared better than others did so I will not complain, just grateful I am OK.
..northwest Morris cty NJ here...waited two hours this AM for gas at a closed gas station (was told last night they would open at 5am)...I was about 30th in line when we were told the gas shipment didn’t arrive overnight, but it was due...
4:40am police arrive to make sure things remained peaceful...seems others had an idea where the line was to begin..*smiles*...police got that in order real quick....mean while no shipment
5:15am people gathering, others finding out no gas yet, BUT NOT LEAVING,(no other place to go) overall people behaving...
5:50am gas station workers mulling about, lights come on, muted cheer along the line....
6:05 still very dark and line on headlights on shoulder stretches 3/4 mile...
6:30 cheers from the back of the line as tanker truck comes down highway, pulls in gas station, cops (7or8) position themselves as “ushers” to funnel in drivers to station...yes,it had to be this way, because there are stupid people out there.
6:45 the line starts to move and within ten minutes I’m at the pump,”fill er up”...done, yippee!
7:05 working my way home...there’s approx, 24 gas stations within a 7 mile radius of where I live....it’s not a supply issue yet, it’s a power issue, out of the 24 stations, 19 have no electricity, no pumps. The ones that have power run out of gas within a few hours, and close down the pumps, waiting for shipments, the store part remains open selling water, coffee, snacks etc..
The “out of” issues haven’t really taken hold yet, some supermarkets are packed(open) and getting stocks replenished regularly, getting there may be a problem if your low on gas...(gas cans were sold out on Saturday)...a two hour wait is normal when a shipment comes in...that problem will ease as the power returns....slowly.
Urban areas first,(most populated), most populated rural, next, and so on.....
As far as needs,it’s workers,...power co employees by the thousands have been “borrowed”....tree removal firms from as far away as Ill,Ohio, and Tenn are here...Power workers from CA, have been flown into Long Island,NY....so as far as are needs....it’s patience , as least were I am.
Huntingdon Valley, PA
Some downed tree’s power still out, but Genny works fine... We’re good too.
Thanks for the prayers.

Just spoke with the Mission Church pastor in my town. A huge U-haul truck is being sent to New Jersey filled with food and clothing as soon as it can be loaded.
