It's good to know that the GOP-e will say that Santorum is next in line. /Sarc.

... will back him, say that it it is his turn, and not Chris Christie's turn, etc. /Sarc.

I mean, George Bush defeated McCain, and so McCain was the presumptive "next in line," (that's how it works, right? /sarc) although he still had to fight for it and had at one point sunk pretty low --- even captioned carrying his own baggage.

And McCain defeated Romney, so it was then Romney's turn --- and he was next in line --- right?

But does this rule only apply to RINOs?

Speaking of Chris Christie... Given what Limbaugh said about Christie, and his choice words about him a little while back, I wonder where Ann Coulter now stands concerning Christie...

BTW, I wonder if any Republican will be on O'Reilly's show over and over again the next four years.

For better or worse I think Trig’s condition and long term prognosis will be a major determining factor in her decision to run.

I can understand the feelings of people who only watched and learned about Santorum this year, it is similar to the ones that only know Mitt Romney from his time that he was running for president, but they need to know that when they look into Santorum, pre-2012, they won’t like what they find.

My ideal candidate would be Sarah Palin. But Rick Santorum was the best of the candidates who ran in the last campaign. He was second, and only lost the primary to Romney because Newt and others divided the vote, and because the primary was, as usual, frontloaded with liberal and crossover states. And because several Mormon-heavy states also voted at key moments.

Rick’s only real sin was to endorse Arlen Specter for re-election. I was upset about that at the time, but all the other candidates committed far worse sins, and he did have some excuses for the endorsement: 1) Specter had endorsed him in a close election; 2) Specter was a Republican with considerable seniority; 3) Bush said he needed Specter to get another SCOTUS appointment, and that actually worked out, before Specter went rogue again.

Most of the other complaints about Santorum were due to all the distortions smeared on him by Romney and the left-wing media.

My posts were questioning his social conservatism.

A social conservative would not be a lifetime supporter of Arlen Specter, and an actual endorser of his campaign to remove life from the GOP platform.

A social conservative would not have been anti-Reagan and calling his supporters too far right, while working on campaigns for declared social liberal republicans, and would not have supported Mitt Romney in 2008.

Santorum showed a fanatic side, in the debates. He does not understand Federalism--or that the States are the basic governments involved in defining social policy, not the Federal Government.

Moreover, he appeared to think assassination of people helpful to your foes as something to be boasted about.

He may be sound on a few issues, he is clearly not Presidential or completely balanced in judgment.

I am sorry to have to weigh in on an intra-party dispute, so soon after the election. I wish we could enjoy an era of good-will, and observe Reagan's Eleventh Commandment, while we focus on ways to counter what Obama is doing.

It is, in any event, way to early to be thinking of a Presidential candidate--major soul searching & tactical reevaluation must precede that.

Rubio’s parents - neither of them - did not become naturalized US citizens until he was 4 years old. Rubio was born a Cuban to Cuban citizens.

Having shredded the Natural Born citizen provision written thoughtfully in the Constitution, do we now have to accept any anchor baby as a future president?

Rick’s only real sin was to endorse Arlen Specter for re-election.

Santorum has always been devoted to Specter, and endorsed him for president in 1996, when Specter was running on a campaign to make the GOP pro-abortion.

“I pledge to lead the fight to strip the strident anti-choice language from the Republican National platform…”

Santorum and Specter
Arlen Specter announces for the White House, with endorsee, Rick Santorum at his side.

At Senator Arlen Specter’s official presidential campaign announcement in March 1995, then-Senator Rick Santorum showed his public support and encouragement of Specter by sitting directly next to him as Specter denounced the GOP’s war on abortion. It was at this event that Specter proclaimed his total opposition to social conservatism and declared he is in fact running to make the GOP pro-choice.

Santorum is seen nodding and applauding at Specter’s side:

3:46 mark: “In 1996, I intend to win the other house — the White House — with ten commitments to America… Especially a woman’s right to choose…

13:22 mark: “Even though we have this historic opportunity for these achievements, there are those in our party who would lead us down a different path — and squander this unique moment in our nation’s history — by using our political capital — to pursue a radical social agenda — that would end a woman’s right to choose…

13:48 mark: “When Pat Robertson says there is no constitutional doctrine of separation between Church and State, I say he is wrong…

14:31 mark: “When Ralph Reed says a pro-choice Republican isn’t qualified to be our President, I say the Republican Party will not be intimidated or blackmailed by those kinds of threats.I, and millions of other pro-choice Republicans, will not be disenfranchised and made second class citizens.

15:33 mark: “… it is not Christian, or religious, or Judeo-Christian to bring God into politics; or to advocate intolerance and promote exclusion.

15:54 mark: “I want to take abortion out of politics. I want to keep the Republican Party focused on the vital economic and foreign policy issues — and leave moral issues such as abortion to the conscience of the individual. I believe abortion is an issue to be decided by women…

16:40 mark: “I pledge to lead the fight to strip the strident anti-choice language from the Republican National platform…”

17:05 mark: “neither this nation nor this party can afford a republican candidate so captive to the demands of the intolerant right...

.

What went wrong??
How can we fix it in 2016??
Who do you support in 2016??

There won’t be anything left of America by 2016.

The time to ‘fix it’ is NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we’re no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

There are massive reports of criminal activity
(not mischief, not shenanigans- CRIMINAL ACTIVITY) going on all over the U.S during the presidential election.

Reports of machines changing votes from Romney to Obama, eyewitness reports of Republican poll watchers who observed busloads of non-English speaking Somalians in Ohio being instructed to vote Obama- the list is endless.
http://www.ObamaVoterFraud.com/

Romney lost because of this, not any other reason.
Nobody could have won against the fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama Machine.

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.

The evidence is overwhelming!

I will be leaving the GOP. it is time to form another party. I will not support many of the choices being trotted out. Sarah Palin, Allen West, Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, Jim DeMint, Mia Love and other would work with me. Not Christie, Rubio or Jindal though. But it is time to do something different than repeat this past two years all over again. Or it will just be the 2012, 2008 and 1996 elections all over again.

And when I sdaid a repeat of the past two years I meant it. This thread alone proves the point. People already attacking each others ideal candidate. Well, I guess you can count me in on that because Rubio is a POS liar and if people support him I wouldn’t be happy and argue against him. It is because the fraud Marco Rubio loves amnesty, Jindal’s recent ‘We ... don’t need to be saying stupid things’ comments, the marshmallow man in New Jersey supporting Sharia, Obama and statist Springsteen, and the failure to contest obvious voter fraud that I am going to leave the GOP by the time the next election rolls around and be unaffiliated. Just those things pissed me off enough to do it and were the final straws.
