In the south African nation of Namibia, a bizarre muppet-like beast has been shot and killed. Unlike its distant relatives — the abominable snowman, bigfoot, and the chupacabra — this one has been caught on film. Locals in Namibia were escorting a shooting party through the country when they found the body of the strange muppet-like beast, and they picked it up and brought it back to the town with them, according to the Telegraph.
Witnesses to the event said that locals saw the creature scavenging for food. One member of the shooting party shot and wounded the beast, and it ran off into the brush. Locals tracked it to its nest where they found three more similar creatures with the same look and size.
The wounded creature attacked one of the shooting party, and it was shot dead. The others escaped into the brush
Namibian authorities are conducting a full forensic examination to determine what the creature is.
Scientists say there are millions of unidentified species out in the jungles that have yet to be identified. While most of them are sea creatures, insects, and single-celled organisms, scientists sometimes discover entirely new mammals, reptiles, and amphibians that no one knew existed.
Recently a new species of viper, Matilda’s Horned Viper, was discovered in the jungles of Tanzania. The viper is one of three new species of snakes discovered in the last thirty years. It has evil looking horns coming off of its face, and, while poisonous, it is not very venomous.

From a story originating in the Namibian media, I would say yes, it is realistic to them. Also, do you see the other three? Nope, they skeedaddled, according to local witnesses. Unassailable facts, I realize now.
