Thanks for your ‘review’. Have read all the Reacher novels and when they chose Cruise....well, I couldn’t believe it. Will see the movie as you make it sound pretty good!

Cheers!

Like Harry Bosch, too. Michael Connelly is an excellent writer. Actually better than Lee Childs...but I am a true Reacher fan. I have read all the Reacher books and have turned half my family into Reacher fans.

***What? Rosamund Pike’s gifts?

Yep, nice mounds of fat.***

I’ve got a 1950s picture of Bettie Page and a 1960s picture of Margaret Nolan that puts Pike to shame. Of course at my age it does no good, but it reminds of what used to be back in the dark ages.

Johnathan Kellerman has some good novels also. Dr. Delaware character.
Like his realistic dialogs and his batting crime theories back and forth with his detective buddy. Yes his detective friend is gay but mentioned only in passing, not part of the stories.
Kellerman’s wife Faye, also a writer, on the other hand sticks the orientation right in the story line. At least in the one and only novel I’ve read or could stomach.
Cornwell is another that has to incorporate orientation in her stories. But she’s a lesbian herself so I guess she just can’t help it.

Oh yes! Sean Penn is another one I will never watch. Add him to the list along with Cruise, Jane Fonda and Barbara Streisand!

I used to read Cornwell’s books, but I don’t recommend them anymore.

Do NOT see “Total Recall” remake. Despite Jessica Beil and Kate Beckinsale, it utterly sucks. Mindless gunfights with zero plot, suspense, or acting.

I watched it last night, and I really enjoyed it. I never read any Jack Reacher books (I didn't even know they existed) so I just went in thinking it was... actually, I didn't know. Spy movie? Revenge? I couldn't tell.

About halfway through I realized that plotwise, it reminded me of an Agatha Christie novel. About the time Reacher was asking Helen "What did you learn?" (You know what I mean.) Ultimately, I described it to my friends as what you'd get if you took a sort of Billy Jack character and put him in an Agatha Christie novel.

Very good i remember recommending it to you a couple of years ago.
