Regulators in Oregon and California have quietly directed some health insurance companies to stop denying coverage for transgender patients because of their gender identity.
The states aren’t requiring coverage of specific medical treatments. But they told some private insurance companies they must pay for a transgender person’s hormone therapy, breast reduction, cancer screening or any other procedure deemed medically necessary if they cover it for patients who aren’t transgender.
The changes apply to companies insuring about a third of Oregonians and about 7 percent of Californians, but not to people on Medicare and Medicaid or to the majority of Californians who are insured through a health management organization, or HMO.
Advocacy groups said the action is a major step forward in their long battle to win better health care coverage for transgender Americans. …

Transgender insurance should cover the expenses incurred at a mental institution for the insane who wish to mutilate themselves.
Its so strange that if a person wanted to cut off his arm they would call him insane, but if he wants to cut off his johnson he is alledgedly sane? Not in my book he isn’t.

What I never understood is when a man becomes a woman only to be a lesbian.
I have used a similar argument such as: Gee, I never knew we had a cure for all those germaphobes who have to constantly be washing their hands. Just cut their hands off. Problem fixed.
You are correct. That would be nuts. But, how is it different from someone who says that they "constantly feel they are the wrong sex". I have heard some of these people say that they just can't get past the feeling that they are the wrong sex. Well, to me that sounds like obsessive compulsive behavior. So, if we don't cut the hands off of OCD people who constantly wash their hands because of "germs"; why do we cut off sex organs of people who have the obsession that they are the wrong sex.
I suppose it is easier than trying to help them in other ways; but, really, does it help?

Here are my personal observations about such encounters with such people:
The easier they make it the more people are gonna get it and the more people who will end up unhappy...
The harder it is the less people will be unhappy, it is that whole thing where if someone has to struggle for something they appreciate it more.
I say let them scrimp and save and pay for it themselves and the struggle will weed out the ones that later will be depressed and the ones that DO actually get the “treatment” will actually appreciate it more or they will take their own lives, and if they do at least the state has not wasted our money on it.
Another thing that causes problems in this so called “community” is the fact that it is sold that “getting a sex change will solve all your problems” and that meme is carried forth with great gusto. The transgendered “folks” get this idea in their head that once they pop out of the operating room all the problems that plagued them before such as people calling them SIR or avoid them because they still act like a freeking truck driver and in some cases look very close.... Or they think that people will all want to be their friend now because they now have a fancy new vagina or peiner installed. What they don’t get is that is you are a rude unpleasant person BEFORE the surgery they will be a rude unpleasant person AFTER the surgery.
These unrealistic expectations will build and build before the surgery and they expect them all to be fulfilled, and when they are not which is ALWAYS the case they get a rude awakening. It is much like the expectation of people that go to college expecting that after they get out they will have a job ready and waiting for them and life will be a breeze and it is not.... Nothing but a huge case of unpleasant “Culture Shock” caused by unrealistic expectations.
This is what liberalism DOES by default, it sets up people for failure by feeding them unrealistic expectations!
Transgendereds taking their lives after surgery is nothing more than the mere manifestation of the same phenomenon that plagues the “every one gets ribbon” liberal mentality.
Giving people false hope and unrealistic expectations rather than telling them the hard cold truth leads to future suffering.
Maybe the state should pay for it, but only if it is done BEFORE they sire or have any children, could be seen as a way to “Take the muck out of the gene pool” per se.
I would rather have the state pay for vasectomies/castrations, tubal ligations/hysterectomies that to have it pay for abortions via “planned unparenthood”
But then my Little l libertarian kicks in and says the gov shouldn’t, at least the federal gov should spent a damned plugged nickel on any of this, if the individual state wants to, let them.
People are free to poke all sorts of crap in their skin and look like poster children for the “spot welding society”, they wish to mutilate themselves, let them, but they should damn well pay for it themselves.

Having a penis does not make it harder (uh-oh!) to ride a bicycle. Having a 61 year old prostate and a hard seat makes for some totally new sensations after you get OFF of the bicycle.
I think that these guys were probably gay. One of them says that he never realized how hard it is to be a woman, to have to try to make yourself attractive every single day. He just gave up and pulls his mass of gray hair back into a pony tail. I think that if he got rid of the boobs and wore men’s clothing, he would look still look like man. Now, he just looks like a very ugly old woman.

I read this and it dawned on me that libtards are completely obsessed with unnatural sexual practices. Deep down this makes them feel strange so they try to force everone else to accept it as normal.
How are any of those things “medically necessary” by any stretch of the imagination?
Generally, it’s because they grow up thinking they’re female but knowing they’re male: they end up having a lot of resentment toward masculinity because of that.
