In a startling follow-up to his spate of new gun laws which were passed last week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo today announced his new 'Gun-Snitch' program in which both adults and children will have a chance to turn in the name or names of potentially violent gun criminals for money.
Cuomo announced a new 1-800 number (1-800-RAT-CALL) which you can call 24/7 to provide the New York State Police with the name and address of any person you know has a gun. Children are encouraged to call and accuse their parents as well as other family members and friends. For each gun confiscated the tipster will receive a $100 EBT card personally signed by Governor Cuomo.
Cuomo additionally announced that if it is verified by their arrest that the gun owner is an NRA member or a self-admitted member of the Tea Party the reward will be doubled.
The head of the New York State Police says that massive swat teams are now being mobilized throughout the state to immediately follow-up on each and every name. He stated that only legally-owned guns of law-abiding citizens will be confiscated. The state police will not be collecting guns from known criminals or those arrested for committing crimes with unlicensed guns. When asked why, he stated that criminals need guns to commit their crimes thereby creating jobs for law enforcement.
Cuomo also announced a special state commission to set up a similar program for liberals and Democrats to turn in known Conservatives as enemies of the state. A similar bounty program would be set up to induce citizens to identify and rid the state of this criminal political element.

I know of a guy who blatantly violated the law by openly brandishing a highly-illegal high-capacity magazine in Washington, DC. Where can I collect my payoff? Or does it limited to just New York?
Read “The Gulag Archipelago”. The Russians were encouraged to turn in their friends and neighbors for as little as expressing doubt that Stalin's plans would succeed. The ironic footnote to this was that those who did the snitching were also packed up in trains and sent to the work camps in Siberia to DIE!

But for those of us who were naturalized, the snitch on parents scenario were not fiction ......
First, at what age is the parent not allowed to stay in the room with the doc and the kid?
There must be some cleverly worded response we could teach our kids.
The only thing that comes to mind is to train the kid to immediately exit the exam room and then HOLLER down the hall:
“Hey MOM! The Doc is EFFing with the Second Amendment!”
It may humor, however not far fetch. I recall reading a National Geographic Magazine years earlier where the subject was Cuba. It stated that in Cuba if you were to have a guest over you must let the neighborhood leader know you will have a guest. If you don’t you will be fine. Either you let the neighborhood watchman know or someone will snitch on you, either way your screw.
Now just remember how our government had pediatrics physicians asking if you have guns in your home. So I would not pass them to do it.

When handguns were outlawed in D.C. in 1976, posters went up everywhere advertising a city snitch line “to report an illegal gun, and you do not have to give your name”. The poster depicted a revolver pointed straight at the reader, with two evil eyes glaring behind it.

When reading Soviet Russia History, one thing stands out - the government wanted everyone turned into a snitch. When people can’t trust each other, they can’t organize to overthrow tyranny.
Yer syntax caused me to look down and see it’s “humor” but, the way that loonatic cuz going on and on, at the top of his voice, it wouldn’t surprise me if and when he does it.
Same thing with nazi Germany. The worst thing is that they turned the children into the worst of them all with parents learning to fear the little gestapo informer sitting across the dinner table.
This is the guy Juan McCain said he would have put in his cabinet as HUD Director. My blood went cold when he said that.
