Tough guy Clint Eastwood has joined the ranks of Ashton Kutcher, Miley Cyrus and many other celebs as the latest victim of a prank known as swatting.
A law enforcement source told TMZ that a 911 call sent multiple units rushing to Eastwoods Los Angeles home this week.
The prank call reported that multiple males armed with assault weapons were inside the actors home and people had been shot.

Did Eastwood tell them to get the hell off of his lawn?
Its not a prank. Its a dangerous criminal act.
Yep. The libs want someone to die. It started against conservative bloggers.
Really?
And do we think that local celebrity addresses aren’t flagged in the dispatcher’s office?
And that a semi-intelligent dispatcher wouldn’t just casually ring up Mr. Eastwood to verify the emergency call? Or, at the very least, cross-reference the source-callers phone number with the number on file?
If that didn’t happen then the dispatcher should be invetigated for being sympathetic with the prank-caller or, at a minimum, sympathetic with their ideology (AKA: nanny-state leftist).
This happened to a friend of mine - he was at odds with the local town council over issues of redevelopment. It almost destroyed his life. Swatting needs to be heavily punished!
” Or, at the very least, cross-reference the source-callers phone number with the number on file?”
They “spoof” the phone number. The call would appear to have Clint’s phone number in the caller id.

Still, because of his celebrity status, they should call back.
I once mis-dialed 911 with my malfunctioning computer modem and they called me back to see if it was legitimate. Dispatched a very polite civil servant to inveastigate and didn’t even ask to come into my house to “look around” (which would have been denied).
LEO is getting too hair-triggered these days.
I agree about the “hair-triggered” part, but still;
“The prank call reported that multiple males armed with assault weapons were inside the actors home and people had been shot.”
A call back from the police if that had really been the situation? I don’t think so.
If it were real, immediate action needs to be taken. A call back might have set up an ambush, or worse. That’s why “pranking” and “spoofing” of phones is so dangerous!
You said, “Still, because of his celebrity status, they should call back.”
SO ... it goes like this. Dispatch calls back. One of the shooters answers. He’s asked if there are any problems or if someone has called 9/11. The shooter says there’s no problem. The police don’t come out because they’ve verified on the phone that there’s no problem.
The shooters then go on the kill everyone and leave!
YEP! That sounds like good police work all right ... LOL ...
“LAPD”?
I thought Clint lived in Carmel (which is far up the coast from Los Angeles). Second home?
My error. Bel Air is where the home is located.
Thanks. Can't say I'm surprised that Clint keeps a home in that neighborhood.
