I'll Start. I LOVED "Emergency", I loved(what young boy doesn't?) Fire Engines and Sirens.
Let’s talk about radio for a second. The best radio show IMHO was Yours Truly Johnny Dollar.
In case you didn’t know, all of the old radio shows are in the public domain, and they’re available for free download at:
http://archive.org/details/oldtimeradio
The audio quality varies, but many are good to excellent. I download episodes to my computer (as mp3 files), then transfer them to a portable player.
Get Smart-very funny and no political correctness bs.
Hill Street Blues would probably have to be my all time fave.
Dragnet
The Twilight Zone
The Outer Limits
Night Gallery
Its about Time
My Mother the Car
Tarzan
Jungle Jim
Sea Hunt
Sky King
The Jack Benny Show
The Tonight Show with Joey Bishop
More radio shows than you can ever listen to are here:

Recommended (in no particular order) are:
Dragnet
Have Gun Will Travel
Speed Gibson of the International Secret Police (this is a long-running adventure serial for the younger listener, but very well produced, listen to a few episodes, and it will draw you into the story).
X-Minus-One (sci-fi)
The Inner Sanctum (suspense)
There are many other good ones.
The Green Hornet and The Shadow.
I love Yours Truly Johnny Dollar.
On radio? The Shadow and The Green Hornet.”
That was real radio. We used to hide under the kitchen table and listen because particularly The Shadow seemed so scary.
We watched Amos and Andy on TV. Didn’t matter what color the people were, everything was black and white anyway but they were so funny. The only other TV show we were permitted to watch was Lawrence Welk - my mom’s favorite show - except she would turn it off when that couple came out to dance and then turn it back on after a few minutes. Never did like Lawrence Welk.
Lone Ranger, Hoppy, Sky King (loved Penny), Wagon Train, Man from Uncle, Ed Sullivan Show, Howdy Doody, The Merry Mailman, Claude Kirchner and Clowny....and yes, always The Rifleman. Have to admit though, when Hoppy gave his little talk to boys and girls about the right things to do at the end of some shows, it really stuck with you.
“The Rockford Files” was excellent but to me it seems like a modern show.
One I loved even tho it really wasn’t that well done was “The Invaders”. I just loved to see those aliens burn up when killed.

I got to meet and get Chuck Connor’s autograph a few months before he died. I asked him where the rifle he used in “The Rifleman” was. He said it was on his mantle surrounded by pictures of five presidents. He didn’t say which ones. Wonder where that rifle is today. Great show. He was good in “Brended” too.
Amos’n’Andy (the TV version) wasn’t really as racist as the race hustlers would like you to think. There was really only one character that fit the traditional negative black stereotype (Lightning).
You had the dumb womanizer (Andy), the crooked one (The Kingfish), the slimy lawyer (Calhoun), the battleaxe wife and mother-in-law (Sapphire and Mama) and an honest, hard-working Christian family man (Amos).
But apart from Lightning, all those other characters would have worked just as well if they were white. Consider shows like Green Acres and Dukes of Hazzard. Boss Hogg? A white Kingfish.
Human failings have nothing to do with race.
He was good in Brended too.....Jeez! Did he do my ex-girlfriend ALSO??
I've been watching WKRP on a "new add" to our cable, something called "MeTV". I think that's a national cable channel. It's on after 10pm, but the days its on seem to be randomly picked.
Has all the original music, as well. Classic.
Without a doubt the Beverly Hillbillies. I’m a walking encyclopedia of knowledge and trivia about the show. Unfortunately, all that wasted space in my space is for naught (double naught).
Bonanza and Rockford Files
